Don’t Allow the Past to Be a Profit to Your Future

“See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland,” Isaiah 43:19.

There comes a moment when we must make a choice — to stop rehearsing what hurt us and start releasing what’s behind us. Too often, we let our past become a profit to our future — meaning, we keep cashing in on old pain, past disappointments, and yesterday’s failures. We allow what was to dictate what can be. But God never intended for our history to hold our destiny hostage.

Your past may have shaped you, but it was never meant to define you. Every scar, every season, and every setback was a classroom — not a cage. The Lord is inviting you to perceive the new thing He is doing. It may not look familiar, and it may not feel comfortable, but He is already making a way in your wilderness.

Today is not yesterday. The mercies of God are new every morning — not recycled, not repeated — new. (Lamentations 3:22–23) The same God who brought you through the last storm is now leading you into a season of refreshing and restoration. But you can’t receive the new thing while holding onto the old one.

So, lay it down. Release the guilt, the “what ifs,” the fear of repeating the past. God is writing a new story — one marked by healing, hope, and promise. Don’t let the pain of what’s behind you become the profit you live off of. Instead, invest your faith in the new thing God is doing right now.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank You for doing a new thing in my life. Help me to stop allowing my past to dictate my future. Teach me to release what was and embrace what is being birthed in me today. I trust that You are making a way in my wilderness and creating streams in my dry places. Let my eyes see and my heart perceive the new thing You are doing. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Catch for us the foxes, the little foxes that
ruin the vineyards, our vineyards that are in bloom." - Song of Solomon 2:15

Sometimes it's not the big things that steal our peace, but the small things that creep in and destroy what God is growing.

- What "little foxes" are you guarding your vineyard from today?

Exodus 14 reminds us—don’t get stuck in fear. Rise up, move forward, and trust God to make a way. Fear shackles you, but faith sets you free! 🌊🚶‍♀️

He is Risen!

Today we celebrate the greatest victory in history — the resurrection of our Savior, Jesus Christ!
The grave could not hold Him. Death was defeated, and through His resurrection, we are offered eternal life.

“And on the third day, He rose again…”
— 1 Corinthians 15:4

Because He lives, hope is alive, love conquers all, and grace abounds. May your heart be filled with the joy and peace that only the Risen King can bring!

Happy Easter!
Rejoice, for the stone was rolled away!

Good Friday — A Love Like No Other

Today, we pause to reflect on the depth of love and sacrifice shown on the cross. Good Friday reminds us that even in the darkest of moments, hope was not lost — it was being written into the story of humanity.

Jesus laid down His life not because we deserved it, but because His love is unconditional. The cross is not the end of the story, but the bridge to a new beginning for all who choose to believe.

Whether you’re a lifelong believer, searching for meaning, or just curious about faith — know this: His sacrifice was for you too. His love is not limited, and His grace is not earned. It is freely given.

Today, may you feel the weight of that love, the hope of forgiveness, and the promise of new life. The cross wasn’t the final chapter… Sunday’s coming!

“But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” — Romans 5:8

Wishing you peace, hope, and a heart full of gratitude this Good Friday.

Even when we don’t have the words to pray, the Holy Spirit speaks on our behalf. If you’re feeling lost or unsure about your situation, know that it’s okay. Keep drawing near to the Lord, trusting that He sees you, knows your needs, and is already working things out for your good. You are not alone—His Spirit is interceding for you, guiding you into His perfect will.

“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans. And he who searches our hearts knows the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for God’s people in accordance with the will of God.”
—Romans 8:26-27 (NIV)

Hard-Pressed but Not Crushed

We are hard-pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed. – 2 Corinthians 4:8-10

Right now, life might feel overwhelming. The weight of trials, uncertainty, and struggle may be pressing in on every side. But let me remind you—this is not where your story ends. You may be feeling the pressure, but you are NOT crushed. You may be battling confusion, but despair does NOT have the final say.

Now is not the time to give up. Now is the time to push. To press into faith. To hold onto hope. To trust that God is working even in the struggle. What feels like the breaking point could actually be the breakthrough moment.

Keep going. Keep believing. Keep standing. You are not alone, and you are not defeated. God is strengthening you, shaping you, and carrying you through. Victory is on the other side of this battle—don’t quit now!
