This past Saturday 7 of our students got up to serve Carolyn and her daughter Stephanie. We mowed the lawn, trimmed trees, cleaned the planter, cleaned the windows, and more! Carolyn and Stephanie were very thankful for all the students hard work. What a blessing it is to see students giving their time and effort to help out others.

Day 3 of Youth Camp 2025 is in the books! Lucy, Madison, Marshall, Theo, and Dillon got up a little early to run/walk the 5k - so proud of these students pushing themselves to get up early and to do the 3.1 miles. At Kickstart, Dillon barely made it to the next and final round of Last Youth Leader Standing by unrolling a toilet paper roll quick enough. After this we opened God’s Word in our Bible Study by learning about another name if God: Immanuel (God with us). During our Rec time we played water games where we sprayed and soaked each other and had a blast doing so! At fee time students enjoyed time at the lake, the zipline, playing Gaga ball, and playing cards. Following dinner we had a time of prayer before going to the worship session. God spoke mightily through Jason Cook as he preached from James 4:4-8 where we learned that we are best when we humbly bend towards God! Also, the Lord worked in our students hearts and Makenzie recommitted her life to Christ! What a wonderful day this was - thanks be to God! Please pray as we entire our final full day of camp that students stay safe, healthy, and hydrated, and that God continues to move within them!

Today was the first full day of Youth Camp 2025! We started out with breakfast, quiet time, then went to morning Kickstart where Dillon advanced to the second round of Last Youth Minister Standing and Lucy represented our camp team by participating in a stage game! Afterwards, we went to recreation where we played lots of team building games! We had lunch before our Bible Study where learned about how Jesus means “God saves” and what it means to call upon His name to be saved! During free time, students swam in the lake, rested, played basketball, and watched the talent show auditions. While they didn’t make it to the final performance, we are proud of Lucy and Theo for showcasing their singing and rapping talent respectively! During worship the Lord spoke through 2 Corinthians 5:21. The Lord moved mightily in students from all various churches and Theo gave his life to the Lord tonight! Praise God for all that He has done and will continue to do. Please pray for our students to stay well and hydrated as well as eager to participate and learn and grow in their faith with God!

The Youth Costume Party last night was a great time! Thanks everyone for dressing up, playing games, and having fun! We enjoyed festive soda/desserts and had a costume contest - Congrats to our winners! Also, I promised way back in May that I’d dress up as Captain Jack Sparrow and had to follow through with it!

Last night First Baptist Granbury came out to the GISD Homecoming Parade to show our support and be a blessing in the community. We gave away 250 hot dogs, drinks, chips, and snow cones to everyone who wanted one. It was amazing to see our church members serving others as well as come together to support the students in the parade!!

This past Saturday we were able to bless the GHS Band by providing breakfast tacos to each student, chaperone, director, and bus drivers. Jess and I got to cheer on the students and hand out tacos as students went to get on the bus. We are excited to see how the band does this year (especially after winning 1 competition so far!) and will be praying for them this season!

🌮 Huge Thank You to First Baptist Church of Granbury! 🌮

We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to First Baptist Church of Granbury for providing us with delicious breakfast tacos yesterday morning! Your kindness fueled us up before heading off to competition, and we couldn't be more thankful for your support.

Go Pride of Granbury Band! 💛💜
