Praising the Outcome vs. Praising God

If you only praise God after the win, are you really praising Him—or just the outcome?

When we view prayer as just a vehicle for our requests and victories, we miss the heart of scripture. The story of Job, Peter singing in a prison cell, Paul enduring shipwreck, and Jesus on the cross all show us the same truth: faith isn't built on favorable outcomes. True prayer isn't about securing your personal victories—it's about surrendering to God's kingdom.

The Quicksand of Request-Only Prayer

Are your prayers getting stuck in quicksand?

When we launch straight into our laundry list of requests—"give me," "please help," "please heal"—we risk turning prayer entirely into what we want rather than acknowledging God's sovereign rule. When His kingdom takes a backseat to our desires, our prayers become driven solely by personal victory instead of His will.
