The office is closed. But are YOU resting?

Sometimes the people who love us ask the questions we need to hear. For Pastor Mike, it took a follow-up question from Liz to turn a conversation about a closed office into a reminder about God’s gift of Sabbath.

Rest is a gift we can struggle to receive. And growing in faith means having people who help us remember what matters.

A new month. New rhythms. A new opportunity to grow. 🌿

This Sunday, we begin The Means of Grace: Pilgrims on the Way, a four-week journey exploring the sacred rhythms of Devotion, Compassion, Justice, and Worship.

We’ll begin with The Way of Devotion and a simple reminder: following Jesus was never meant to be something we do alone—or only on Sunday.

Through these practices, we open ourselves to God’s grace and allow the Holy Spirit to shape us into the people God created us to become.

Come walk the way with us this Sunday.

We believe part of loving our community is encouraging the people who serve it every day.

Recently, Faith had the joy of sharing coffee, bagels, and donuts with the teachers and staff at Stony Point Elementary School and Howdy Homemade KC with the team at the Grain Valley Early Childhood Center.

Thank you, friends: we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re grateful for the work you do for the children and families of our community.

Jeremiah invites God’s people to seek the good of the community where they live (Jeremiah 29:7). That’s the kind of church we hope to be.

Jesus isn't asking us to ignore our needs or accept mistreatment. He's asking us to surrender our need to always be first, right, in control, or on top.
