Most people don’t ruin their lives through rebellion.
They drift.
Slowly… quietly… into doing “just enough.”

The shock wasn’t the storm — it was what the storm revealed.
Everything looked solid… until it wasn’t.

A house can look faithful.
A life can look Christian.
A ministry can look fruitful.
And the foundation can still be sand.

What if collapse doesn’t come from rebellion… but from unexamined assumptions?
What if it’s possible to be close to holy things without being holy?
Busy with religious activity.
Fluent in Christian language.
Still building on something unstable.

Jesus warns us in Matthew 7 that self-deception is real.
Not just being misled by others — but fooling ourselves.

Same location.
Same structure.
Same appearance.

The difference isn’t what you see — it’s what you can’t see.
The storm doesn’t make the foundation weak…
it reveals what was already there.

“False security is more dangerous than honest need.”
The foolish builder didn’t think he was foolish.
The house looked fine.
The way felt fine.

The problem wasn’t rebellion —
it was trust placed in what couldn’t hold.

Just let them talk.
Eventually, what’s inside always comes out.

Jesus said it plainly: the mouth speaks from what fills the heart.
Words don’t slip — they reveal.
