Celebrate Recovery at Oak Street Baptist Church Our goal is to bring those seeking recovery to the healing power of Jesus Christ.

We will meet every Wednesday night at 6pm with doors opening at 5:30 pm in the Annex building behind the Oak Street Baptist Church.

This Wednesday we are going to be listening to another testimony of what God has done in someone else's life.

If he can make the changes we are going to hear about in their life, couldn't he make the same or similar changes in your life.

We serve a might God, who is just and kind. He loves us and wants nothing but the best for us.

Do you find yourself struggling to hear the voice of the Holy Spirit?
I know I did. That still small voice can be hard to hear at times. We have to spend time daily in the word, prayer, and listening in order for us to stay in "tune" with the Holy Spirit.

Principle 7: Reserve a daily time with God for self-examination, Bible reading, and prayer in order to know God and His will for my life and to gain the power to follow His will.

Step 11: We sought through prayer and meditation to improve our conscious contact with God, praying only for knowledge of His will for us, and power to carry that out.

We would like to leave you with a message from 1 Peter 1:3-7.

Remember that although we find ourselves in trials of all sorts, we are never left alone. We have the greatest gift that anyone could ask for. Our FAITH in Jesus Christ.

Our faith has brought us under the umbrella of mercy an grace that the resurrection of Jesus Christ provides us.

We are able to praise our mighty God and our Lord Jesus Christ not matter what season of life we find ourselves in.
