Millbrook's Homeschool Resource Library is a ministry of the church to the community, and we would love for it to be a resource for many right now! We are working on putting together much more detailed lists and pictures of resources, which we are happy to share with you individually, based on your interests.
Millbrook's Homeschool Resource Library is not just for homeschoolers, nor just for those who attend Millbrook! It's for the following people:
Those doing in-person or remote learning and would like to borrow additional/supplementary resources.
Those unsure about homeschooling.
Those who are reluctant homeschoolers and/or are planning to homeschool only temporarily.
Those new to homeschooling who don't know where to start.
Those (homeschooling or not) who have kids fascinated by certain topics and who are looking for more resources.
Those who have homeschooled for many or few years and are interested in borrowing books, curriculum and other resources to use.
The library is meant to be used in many different ways. You may borrow items that you're considering buying to look at and/or try out. You may also borrow items to use for several months or a year (for full-year curriculum) to avoid buying at all! There are many resources that you would use for only a short time (learning to read a clock, or learning multiplication tables, for instance).
Please contact the church, 523-7225, if you're interested in borrowing different items, or if you're interested in more information on available materials for various subjects/curriculum--leave an email address or phone number so that we're able to contact you! The library isn't open for the normal perusal, but we are more than happy to set aside particular materials and work out a time for you to pick them up/drop them off.
