I AM HIS FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS I WAS PLACED UPON THE EARTH TO HEAR THE WORD OF GOD AND DO HIS WILL

We are here, for a purpose. How can we be faithful and holy to lead others to God?

Be watchful, stand firm in your faith. Be courageous

1 cor 16:13-14: be on guard, stand firm inthe gaith; be men of courage; be strong. Do everything in love.

Be discerning, sin is crouching at yiur door, lurking all around us. Be aware. Acts 20: there will be people in the Church that will lead us astray.

There are many temptations in our way. Christ is coming back, be prepared and have confidence in His return, be ready at any moment. Stand firm in your faith, 1 cor 15: fix your eyes and heart on Jesus.

Stand firm and never give up. Be strong in the Lord and up on the whole armour of God. Take the helmet and sword of God and be alert and put on the breastplate of Jesus. Be faithful in the Word, live according to the truth.

Share the gospel. Trusting Him and his promises. Hold onto the Truth.

Be courageous and strong. God told Joshua this. Do not be discouraged or afraid. Do not live in fear. If we are in Christ, we will not fear, as our strength is in God. Stand against what is wrong and stand for what is right. It takes courage to stand up for what is right; the spirit of God gives us strength. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Let all you do be done in love. (1 Cor. 13).

Why... why are the old days better in the older days? If only.... not good. This verse says its not good to ask.

Looking back ... brings a sour mood... I wish... brings pity onto yourself. We dont have control over the past...only what we do in the present time. Our eyes looking back into the past are not able to look at the present and follow God. Taking our eyes off of God, distracting from our current task, we get stuck and our focus is on ourselves and self pity builds within us. God has something better for ourselves, but we need to keep our eyes on Him and use our gifts and talents to bless others.

Wisdom comes from our past experiences. Wisdom is shelter, as money is a shelter (vs12).

LUKE 24:13
Walking in fellowship
Jesus draws near to us in our sorrows and troubles (the disciples were sad because they were hoping Jesus would rise from death...doubting the resurrection) When we doubt, tempted or sorrowing, Jesus is there for us, draws near to us, but we struggle to see.

JESUS knows our struggles and want to meet us. But we need to be willing to hear. Jesus uses us to help others. We dont always know Jesus is there, we dont always see what our Lord is up too, our eyes deceive us at times. There are times which things go opposite of what our plans are, and then days or hours later, we see.

JESUS wants to be with us, interact with us. He enjoys fellowship with us and use us.

Jesus teaches us through the Word of God. HE is seen in Baby Moses, Wiser than Solomon, and like Jonah, we are drawn to Jesus, even if we have been fighting it.

Jesus wants us to enjoy fellowship with others. Believers meeting together, giving thanks to our Father.

The hearts burn when Jesus speaks and open the scripture... God wants us to learn and feel joy feeling Gods love. Pour out our hearts in Worship. He wants to use us where we travel. .. bringing the good news of salvation.

Family

Children of God: we are a family in Christ

1 cor 12: 12-27
Many bodies in a body of the Church, we all have special gifts. If we were all the same, what good are we within the body?

Dont forsake the body of believers... we need each other. We build each other up. Acts 4:32 devote ourselves to gather together, fellowship with one another to encourage each other. We tend to be like the 5 people we spend most time with. Its important to not live in isolation but to have others to lift each other up, especially when we are struggling. Prayer time is essential to build our relationship with God and to encourage ourselves and others. We all are essential in the body of Christ and are important. God puts on our heart of things to do. God chose our part and what he wants us to do. We are all blessings.

We Rejoice together, grieve together, and encourage one another. We all care for one another. When one of us hurts, we within the body hurt as well.

What a friend we have in Jesus all our sins and grieves to share
What a privilege to carry everything to God in prayer
Oh what peace we often forfeit oh what needless pain we bear
All because we do not carry everything to God in prayer
Have we trials and temptations is there trouble anywhere
We should never be discouraged take it to the Lord in prayer
(Can we find up friend so faithful who will all our sorrow share)
In his arms he'll take and shield it you will find us all us there
Carry everything to God in prayer

Its taken me sometime to realize what a friend really is. A friend is not going to bail on you when you face trials and during temptations they will be there to talk you to the other side. They are there to help you carry your burdens when they are heavy, not judge you and making your journey even more burdensome. A friend will listen to you, and help you think of options that will take the troublesome weight off your shoulders. This friend will be there, they do not dissappear in times of dispair. This friend will also pray with you and for you.

I know i haven't been a good friend to others and have focused my time licking my wounds at times. I have been on the receiving end of wonderful friendships during my troubled times, and pray that i have been able to be that friend in return.

We have different levels of friendships and they will come and go into the seasons of our life. There are very few friendships in a person's life that stick around through the thick and thin. Those who do, know tge good, bad and ugly in us... and they still love us!

Lord Jesus, help me be a better friend. This song, What a friend we Have in Jesus, speaks volumes to your love for each of us. I pray you can look at me and say you are proud if who I am. I love you Lord!!

Genesis 37: Joseph
Who is he? He is the son of Jacob when Jacob is older.Joseph's brother's were jealous and hated Joseph. And Jacob showed favoritism, which increased the jealously. Joseph also tattled at times on his older siblings; and had a dream where his brothers will bow down to Joseph and told them.

Life and purpose of Joseph.

He was sold as a slave into Egypt. This was Joseph's first test of faith. Some people follow God during hard times, and some rebuke God. Joseph served God during his time as a slave to Potipher. Potiipher saw how Joseph served and honored God; including the temptation of laying with Potiphers wife. However, Potiphers proclaimed that Joseph mistreated her, and Joseph ended up in prison. But while he was in prison, he still had the Lord with him and during this time Joseph showed kindness towards others.
Joseph had more dreams during his time in prison. Pharaoh had a dream, Joseph was able to interpret the dream, giving credit that God had given him the interpretation. Joseph is humble.

Joseph interpreted the dream (41:50) and then had 2 sons (Manasseh and Ephraim), and named them because of God and follows God.

50: Death of Jacob: Joseph wept over his loss of his father. His brothers asked for Joseph's forgiveness and Joseph looked at them, and shared with them their actions were a part of God having a plan to save other people. God has a perfect plan of how we are to serve Him. He knows how the puzzle pieces fit together.

Do i live demonstrating I want to live Gods plan? Do i give credit to God?

3 phases of faith

1. Little faith: fear and doubt run ranpent in our lives. In everything we need to bring our requests to God. The peace of God will guard our peace, hears and minds. Peter in the boat with the storm and he had great qorries.

2. Good faith: moving forward and growing faith Peter had good faith and atepped out of the boat and walked towards Jesus, but he took his eyes off Jesus and began to sink. Jesr reached out and pulled Peter up.

Abraham began a journey from God, but then took a side trip to Egypt, lied about who his wife was, he left God out of the picture. He took Hagar as a slave when he was sidetracked, Abraham suffered consequences. He had slipped from good faith to poor faith and had a child with Hagar (not the promised child) Sarah and Abraham took off their eyes off of God, And Sarah ended up becoming pregnant. Abraham did become spiritually stronger and came into perfect faith.

3. Perfect faith: (Genesis 22) Abraham has seen all Gods work in his life. ABRAHAM was instructed to take his only son and sacrifice Isaac. Abraham woke up immediately the morning, and took his son and wood to the place where God instructed. Abraham knew that God would provide for him and Isaac, isaac had asked where the lamb was for the offering, "God will provide" responded Abraham. Abraham was following God's directions. And God provided a lamb in the thicket for the offering and Abraham was following Gods directions and God poored out blessings onto Abraham. God keeps his promises and his word is always true. He takes the doubt and fear away but we as believers need to bow and pray. Trust Gods promises.

With perfect faith, We become to know God's perfect faith and knowing God works for all Good.

Surrender to God your worries, concerns and fears. Praise the Lord!!]

God's Goodness..
James 1:17 Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

God= Father of Lights

God will last forever and heaps his good gifts upon us. Goodness is a mixture of holiness and live. (My heart is ready to burst feeling doesn't compare Gods love for us)

Satan tries to have is doubt Gods good gifts. The gifts from God are perfect for ourselves and are constantly (continually) coming down for us... we need to recognize the good gifts.

Gods blessings are generously without reproach. He doesnt hang our bad deeds over us... he gives graciously. Romans 2:4: Do you show contempt for the riches of his lindness, tolerance and patience, not realizing that God's kindness leads you toward repentance?

God does pour out blessings to even those who are not believers. Love always gives....God always loves and his love does not change. But there are times there are clouds in the sky which hides the sun shining. Gods goodness is not based on your feelings.

Lamentations 3:22 steadfast love of God never ceases. The Lord id good for those who wait for him.

2 Chronicles 32

Super heros of the Bible: Josiah, Daniel, Moses...

Josiah's family history had 3 generations of evil. Many dealt with problems of pride and arrogance.

Hezekiah had everything he ever wanted and was Josiahs great grandfather.

Manasseh was 12 when he became king, he practiced witchcraft a d soothsaying and was very evil. Manasseh was the grandfather to Josiah. Manasseh even sacrificed his own children, and as a king, the people also followed suit.

2 chron 33:9-13 Mannesseh seduced, he was carried off by chains by his enemies and did repent.

22-25: Amon became king at 22 a d he was killed by his own people and was as evil as his father but did not repent. The people knew the were not in Gods blessing and executed him.

34: Josiah became king at 8 years old and walked with God. He did not follow his generations befor him. The people likely took care and trained Josiah. When he was 12 he removed the alters that dishonored God. Heavy duty cleaning. Purging the evil.

God is looking to be good Godly leaders. Being a leader isnt easy and there are challenges. We must pray to God for wisdom and discernment and take to heart what spiritual leaders ask of us.

2 chronicles 34:18 the book, the word ofthe Lord, that was found stirred Josiah and he seeks after God. He tears his clothes in grief and repentance. 21: What comes around goes around ... from all theevil of his grandfathers Josiah learned that his country will suffer from that evil.

We need to humble ourselves before God and everything we have comes from God. We must thank God for everything.

Outside influences can bring evil into our lives. Ask yourself: am i practicing idolity? Does the thing take us away from God? Gods word is nessary for us to grow.

We can change things and make a difference for God. We need to clean up for God to please him.

We can be a leader for God for others. We can make impressions and make a difference for God.

We need Gods word to give us direction. Wr need to bean encourager.

God is to be revered and is a just God. We take a huge risk when we sin. Is our name in the Book of Life? Accept Jesus as your personal Savior so you can be in Heaven with God for eternity.
