Malcolm Forbes coined the phrase, “He who dies with the most toys wins.” And he lived his life in pursuit of that prize. Yet, as he grew near the end of his life, he wondered about the value of his pursuits. Malcolm Forbes was woefully wrong. In the end, he who dies with the most toys never wins. He loses eternal life. Christ gave us words of superior wisdom when He said, “What good will it be for a man if he gains the whole world, yet forfeits his soul?” The tugs and pulls of this world are powerful. The gift of life and the difference you can make is more important than all the “toys” you gather. Value the right stuff! To paraphrase Forbes saying, “He who dies with the most God, wins.” D.W

In the body of Christ, there is a great need for more people who do not need a title, an office, a staff, a budget, a business card or a classroom. All they need is a chance to get next to a person who needs encouraging. While dying of leukemia, Bob Pierce, a passionate, young, driven, poor, unknown evangelist, who never graduated from college started World Vision in 1950, the humanitarian aid organization, that ministers to the needs of people around the world, as well as the founder of Samaritans purse, took all his pain medication and traveled to Indonesia to visit one last time with a dear friend who was a missionary there. He encountered a young woman who was dying of cancer, but had no medication and was in terrible pain. Because she had only a few days to live, Bob Pierce gave her all of his pain medication and instructed the missionary to make sure she took it until she died. He was willing to endure his own terrible pain so that the young woman could die in peace. Bob Pierce’s life was defined by a prayer written in his Bible, “Let my heart be broken with the things that break the heart of God.” Bob Pierce ask a question that others didn’t dare or care to ask, “What can I do to help?” May that also be your prayer and your question today. Grace is God‘s reminder that His love is greater than your mistakes. His grace is greater than all your past mistakes, present mistakes and future mistakes. Christ’s blood was the price paid to free you from sin. Colossians 1:14 says, “In Him, you have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.” Jesus paid the ultimate ransom with His own blood, His death on the cross, to set you free. Your offenses, sins, shame, and guilt are entirely canceled, erased and no longer held against you. You cannot work for, earn or buy this freedom. It is a gift “ lavished” on you out of God’s grace. These benefits are only realized when you are “ in Him.” That means when you are connected to Jesus through faith, you unwrap His gift of salvation by grace, Ephesians 1: 7–8.

The longer you stay in God‘s presence, the more your spirit aligns with His heart. The more time you spend with Him the more your desires, thoughts, and character transform to mirror His. To abide in God’s presence means to dwell, remain, continue, live, personally and vitally connected to Him through intentional daily practices that keep you anchored to Him. Like a sailor raising his sails, you must do all you can to catch the wind, but it is the wind that moves the ship. So in your efforts to abide in Christ, it is always God’s Spirit who must blow as a gentle breeze, enabling you to experience the divine life that is yours in Christ. D.W

You are loved, John 3:16. You are chosen, 1 Peter 2:9. You are forgiven, 1 John 1:9. You are redeemed, Ephesians 1: 7. You are strong, Philippians 4:13. You are beautiful, Psalms 139:14. You are enough, 2 Corinthians 12:9. You are a work in progress, Philippians 1:6. Do you not realize who you are? You are not ordinary; God has made you His dwelling place. Within you rests His Spirit. His very presence is living and breathing in your midst. Wherever you go, He goes. You carry His glory, His power and His love. You are His Holy temple; precious, set apart, and filled with divine purpose. Never see yourself as empty, for you are never alone. He lives within you,
1 Corinthians 3:16. D.W

God says, “My Presence will go with you and I will give you rest,” Exodus 33:14. Life can get heavy. You may think peace is found in perfect circumstances but it is not. Peace is found only in the Presence of God. His Presence provides you constant companionship. His Presence provides you with comfort, peace, and relief from anxiety when facing intimidating challenges. His Presence guarantees you protection, when facing uncertainties. Even in your deepest struggles, God promises His light will break through, Isaiah 9:2. You will overcome every obstacle, setback and attack designed to stop you. God promises to strengthen you enabling you to persevere through your difficulties, and remain faithful, Psalms 29:11. D.W

When the strength of God flows through your veins, impossibility bows. This captures how beautifully divine power supersedes human limitations. No obstacle is unsurmountable when you tap into spiritual strength. Faith acts as a conduit that bridges your weakness to divine power, turning impossibilities into testimonies. Psalms 18:39 declares, “You armed me with strength for battle.” “Blessed be the Lord, my rock who trains my hands for war and my fingers for battle,” states Psalm 144:1. You were never meant to fight alone. Heaven does not draft soldiers and abandon them on the battlefield. D.W

A Warrior does not see a wall; he sees a launching pad. You were created to carry the fire 🔥 of the Lion of Judah. You were forged to carry the blaze of His glory. Heaven does not build cowards. Heaven forges WARRIORS! The Cross already wrote the end of the battle. When your knees shake, His power stands tall. Light does not ask darkness for permission to shine. Micah 7:8 states, “Do not rejoice over me, my enemy. When I fall, I will arise. When I sit in darkness, the Lord will be a light to me.” this is the Anthem of the BLOOD 🩸 BOUGHT WARRIOR! D.W

The lion represents God‘s unmatched strength, courage, and fierce determination. In Isaiah 31:4, God is compared to a protective lion over His prey; fierce, unyielding and undisturbed by the opposition of others. That means no human effort or threatening opposition can deter God from defending His people. He is completely sovereign and will fiercely fight for you. In the Bible, the lion is a multifaceted symbol representing; authority, beauty, boldness, bravery, courage, danger, defender, dominance, dominion, fearlessness, fierceness, grandeur, kingly authority, kingship, leadership, majestic, messianic promise, might, power, protector, redemption, royal lineage, splendor, stately, strength, unshakable, unstoppable, and victory. You, the righteous, are to be bold as a lion, Proverbs 28:1. Even the threat of a roaring lion cannot overcome those who stand firm in the armor of the Lord. A lion may be King of the jungle but the Lion of Judah is the King of Kings. D.W
