Gower Christian Church Sunday School: 9:15 AM; Worship: 10:30 AM We are indeed proud of this long heritage. We are not a huge church and average around 125 in worship on Sunday.

The congregation of the Gower Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) has stood and served as one of the witnesses to the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the Gower, Missouri community for over 160 years. Our active congregation is make up of all ages blessed with a friendly nature that enjoys laughter and fellowship with one another. As a church we are called to be the people of God on mission: gathered to worship and learn; scattered to all be ministers, serving Christ in our various walks of life. We trust that you will find within our congregation the warmth of Christian fellowship, inspiration from our worshiping, and the peace one experiences from an awareness of God's presence. The Trigger Examen

Pay attention to what triggers you. It's helpful to keep a short list.

Ask yourself:
* What makes me defensive?
* What makes me angry?
* What makes me fearful?
* What makes me withdraw?
* What makes me seek approval?

These are not meant to beat yourself up, but rather gives you opportunity to be honest about yourself before God. Simply bring what you notice to Jesus. Ask Him to help you understand what is happening in you and to show you how to respond differently. This awareness can become the beginning of new habits.
