These trees came down in the recent windstorm.
This is the main reason for my plan to remove all the trees in East Riverside Cemetery. I plan to continue this process, even though some, Lot Owners continue to complain and degrade my plan behind my back.

The Division of Cemeteries requires a bulletin board to publish certain notices to the Lot Owners.
George and Linda Love came to our rescue by having two bulletin boards built and donated them to the Cemetery.
Brown Jewelers donated the plaques to be displayed.
Thanks to these two Lot Owners.

On Friday.. Arbor Day was celebrated by the planting of six trees, more to come, by Cub Scout Pack 21, at the Riverside ...

On Friday.. Arbor Day was celebrated by the planting of six trees, more to come, by Cub Scout Pack 21, at the Riverside Cemetery.
Thanks to the Leadership as well as the Scouts for honoring a tradition that began back in 1872, of planting trees as a symbol of life.

The Kiwanis cemetery workday will be May 4th 2019.
We need help at both cemeteries if you.. are free. Just bring a rake and gloves. Refreshments will be served at both cemeteries.

The 162nd Annual Cemetery Meeting will be held on Tuesday January 8,2019 at 6:00pm at The Town Building. Lot Owners are encouraged to attend. The Board of Directors wil be elected as well as plans for this year will be discussed.

We are planting 6 trees before Winter in East Riverside, to take the place of the trees I had cut. I had promised this to the lot owners, before the chastising phone calls I recieved. You will see that I have only the best interest of the Lot Owners and the loved ones buried there. Have a great fall

The Cemetery work day will be May 5th 2018 @9 :00
We have limbs and branches that must be picked up before the mowing session starts.
We will be at the Kiwanis tent for directions.
Please consider helping to get the cemeteries back in shape.
Refreshments will be served at both cemeteries.
Thanks again for any help you can give.

The plowing of snow in East Riverside Cemetery is being done by a friend of the Cemetery Bob Gore. If you see him and appreciate being able to attend to your loved ones during the winter...he is volunteering his time and gas...just tell him thanks.

The 161st, Annual Meeting , for The Gouverneur Cemetery Association will be held at the Town Building, on January 2nd 2018, at 6:00 pm.
The election of officers will be held as well as a recap of the accomplishments for the Cemeteries for 2017, and A brief outlook for 2018.
All LotOwners are encouraged to attend.
