What if the peace we have been searching for cannot be found by simply making life quieter? We can fill our schedules, find something enjoyable to take our minds off what is bothering us, or hope uncomfortable feelings eventually fade, but biblical peace reaches much deeper. Shalom begins with knowing where we stand with God.

When our relationship with God is made right, that peace has somewhere to take root. It changes the way we see ourselves because we are no longer trying to manufacture an inner calm we cannot create on our own. From there, it begins to shape the way we show up in our relationships too. Peace with God becomes the foundation for peace within us and peace with the people around us.

So when peace feels far away, maybe the first question is not, โ€œHow can I make this feeling go away?โ€ but, โ€œAm I bringing what is happening inside me to God?โ€ ๐Ÿ˜„

โ€œPeace I leave with you; my peace I give you.โ€ John 14:27

Have you ever wondered whether God is speaking while you are trying to figure out your next step? Sometimes His direction comes through Scripture, sometimes through wise people, and sometimes through a quiet conviction that keeps drawing your attention back to Him. As you spend time in His Word and grow familiar with His character, you become more prepared to recognize His leading and respond with trust. When God makes the path clear, faith takes the next step. ๐Ÿ™

How to find joy in your labor.

09/04/2026

Have you ever considered how the way you talk to yourself might affect the way you relate to God? Some thoughts have been with us for so long that we hardly notice them anymore. Words spoken over us years ago can become words we continue speaking over ourselves, shaping what we believe about our worth, our abilities, and even our relationship with God. Jesus cares about that inner conversation too. His transforming work reaches into the patterns of thought we have carried for years and teaches us a new way to see ourselves.

Pay attention to what you regularly tell yourself, especially the words you would never say to someone you love. When you recognize an old message showing up again, you have an opportunity to bring it before Jesus instead of automatically accepting it as truth. As He transforms us, He also reshapes the way we see ourselves and the thoughts we allow to have the final word. Growing closer to God includes allowing Him into those quiet conversations happening within us, trusting that His truth can become louder than the messages we have carried for years. ๐Ÿ™

โ€œBe transformed by the renewing of your mind.โ€ Romans 12:

You might already be walking in your purpose without realizing it. In Acts 17, Paul is talking to people who were searching for God, and he reminds them that God was never far away. That is important because we can spend so much time trying to figure out our calling that we miss what God is already doing right where we are.

Your purpose does not always come with a microphone, a ministry title, or a big moment. Sometimes it looks like checking on somebody who has been having a hard week, showing patience at work, raising your children to know Jesus, encouraging a friend, or simply being willing to share what God has done in your life.

God can use the life you are living right now, including the parts of your story that did not go according to plan. You do not have to have everything figured out before He can work through you. Stay close to Him, pay attention to the people around you, and be willing to respond when He gives you an opportunity to love and serve somebody.

Maybe the question is not only, โ€œWhat am I called to do?โ€ Maybe we should also be asking, โ€œGod, who can I serve right where You have me?โ€ ๐Ÿ™

โ€œFor in him we live, and move, and have our being.โ€- Acts 17:28

What thoughts have you repeated so often that they have started to feel like truth? The way we think shapes the way we see ourselves and the people around us, which is why it matters what we allow to take root in our minds. We can assume we know someoneโ€™s motives, reduce people to categories, or rehearse negative things about ourselves until those thoughts become the lens through which we see everything. Scripture gives us something stronger to return to.

God calls us His children, reminds us that we are precious to Him, strengthens us through Christ, and calls us a royal priesthood. When an old thought keeps showing up, give yourself something true to say in its place. Memorize what God says about you, return to it often, and allow His Word to shape the way you see yourself and others. ๐Ÿ™Œ

โ€œBut you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, Godโ€™s special possession.โ€ 1 Peter 2:9
