On Labor Day, we give thanks for the many forms of work that sustain our communities and neighborhoods—including work that is unpaid, unseen, or too often undervalued. May we honor the dignity of those who labor, seek justice for workers, make room for Sabbath rest, and remember that every person’s worth comes from God, not from what they produce.

Some passages of Scripture are inspiring. Others leave us scratching our heads.

This fall, our Women's Bible Study group will spend six sessions exploring some of the Bible's most challenging texts through Dan Kimball's "How (Not) to Read the Bible." If you've ever had questions, you're not alone.

The first session will be held on Thursday, Aug. 27. See the event for details and registration information: https://www.facebook.com/share/1PGH4qcdoD/
