--A ventilation and filtration system have been installed to improve air circulation, and to filter and purify air throughout the building. and is followed by the Christian education hour around 11:00 p.m. You are welcome to park wherever you like, but we’ve reserved several visitor parking spots across from the main entrance. You’ll find greeters on duty by the door who can answer any questions and direct you. A typical worship service includes prayers, singing, reading of scripture, a children's time, a sermon lasting 15 to 20 minutes, an offering, a sharing time followed by prayer and a time for announcements and introductions. During the announcement time, visitors have a chance to introduce themselves if they like. If you come with a friend or relative, he or she will likely introduce you. We enjoy singing together. Our music is a blend of traditional hymns and more contemporary music. Overall, our style is fairly informal. We are not afraid to laugh at ourselves and we often invite children or youth to participate in the service. Dress styles are very diverse and range from suits and ties to jeans and t-shirts. Children
Children of all ages are welcome in worship. We also have a staffed nursery available for babies and young children who are restless. It includes a separate area for nursing mothers. From the sanctuary, walk back through the fellowship hall, past the restrooms and you’ll see it on your right. The worship service includes a 5 to 8 minute segment especially for children through 5th grade. Sometimes this takes place at the front of the sanctuary as part of worship; other times children are invited to the library. Parents are welcome to tag along if that is more comfortable for the child. The children’s classes that follow worship are small and staffed by teams of teachers, so your child will get plenty of attention. We use the Mennonite Church’s Gather Round curriculum. We also have a monthly peace club. Arriving Late
You won’t be alone if you arrive late; just walk in boldly like the rest of us do. An usher will be available at the back of the sanctuary to point out available seats. Note that additional parking spaces are available on the grass on the west side of the church if the parking lot is full. Christian Education
Coffee and tea are available in the fellowship hall following worship. There is time to meet others before Christian education hour begins. Music played over a loudspeaker signals when it is time to begin. The Christian education options and their locations are listed on the back of your bulletin. A sermon response class is almost always available, and is easy to drop in on. Accessibility
Both the front and back entrances have ramps, and our church building is all on one level. Handicapped accessible restrooms are located down the hall at the north end of the building. Hearing aides and large-print hymnals are available in the office. A greeter will gladly assist you. We have just purchased 100 new chairs that our members with back issues have found very comfortable.
