We went on a little "Wildflower Ramble" on the church grounds after we finished our lesson and crafts. And just look at all the different flowers we found!! đŸŒ»đŸŒžđŸȘ»

We also made a special gift for our faithful grandmother who brings us to church every week and has been teaching us about Jesus since we were born! đŸ„° We decorated a teapot made from cardstock, with puffy heart stickers. Then we placed a cardstock teacup cutout on the front and taped it down on along the bottom and both sides, leaving the top open like a pocket. Then we glued a bright, sunny 🌞 yellow square of cardstock onto the teacup, then onto that we glued a cute little poem our teacher wrote especially for us 💛💛💛 Then we selected a few different, individually wrapped herbal tea bags and slipped them into the little teacup pocket. "Meme" truly appreciated our special gift for her! It reminded us of today's lesson and how Timothy learned about God from his grandmother đŸ„°

OUR LITTLE POEM:
I want to thank you Meme,
For teaching me God's way,
I've learned to be like Jesus,
Kind to others every day.
But sometimes when I'm naughty,
And you get upset with me,
This will be a small reminder,
To stop and have a cup of tea. 💙

The older kids made a "Rooted in Faith" Family Tree. First we had to draw a tree trunk and branches. Then using cut out construction paper leaves, we wrote the names of family members, mentors, or church leaders who have helped teach us about God. This tree represents how our faith grows strong and blossoms from the roots planted by our family and ancestors, just like Timothy’s, as well as our Sunday Schoold teachers, helpers and Pastor. đŸ„°

Today the younger kids made a "Heart of Faith" memory book for their craft. We used red construction paper cut into a heart shape, and folded it in half to make a mini book. On the front, we wrote "My Faith Heart." Inside, we had a choice of using stickers drawing things that made us think of God (or we could do both! 😊).

Today’s story is short—but super powerful! It’s about three generations of people who loved God: a grandma, a mom, and a boy named Timothy. Their story shows how faith can grow and spread through families, friends, and anyone who shares God’s truth. Timothy was a young man who worked with Paul. Paul had left Timothy teaching in a church they had started and moved on to the next place God sent him. Paul wrote a letter to Timothy to encourage him. He told Timothy to remember the faith that he first learned about from his mother Eunice and his grand-mother Lois when he was a little boy. Paul told Timothy that his faith didn’t come from nowhere - it started with his family! Lois and Eunice taught him about God, prayed with him, and helped him grow strong in his faith. Timothy’s mom and grandma shared the Bible with him from the time he was little. Their love for God became his love for God! They passed down faith like a light - bright, warm, and steady. Faith isn’t just something we talk about—it’s something we live! Lois and Eunice didn’t just tell Timothy what to believe—they showed him by how they lived. That’s how faith becomes strong and heroic. Faith grows stronger when it’s shared. Like Lois and Eunice, we can teach others about God by our words and actions. Timothy kept learning about God as he grew up. Now he could take what he learned and share it with others. We can also share what we have learned about Jesus. Jesus is the reason we can have faith in the first place. He showed us perfect love and truth. When we follow Him, we can pass that same love to others—our friends, our families, and anyone we meet. 😊
