Сьогодні, у 12-ту неділю після П’ятидесятниці, у нашому храмі була звершена Божественна Літургія.
Сьогоднішнє Євангеліє нагадує нам, що шлях до Бога вимагає не лише добрих справ, але й готовності віддати Йому перше місце у своєму житті. Христос закликає нас не прив’язуватися до земного, а довіритися Богові та слідувати за Ним. І те, що здається людині неможливим, для Бога є можливим: «Для людей це неможливо, а для Бога все можливе» (Лк. 18:27).
Напередодні Дня Незалежності України ми особливо молилися за мир в Україні, за наших захисників і за всіх, хто сьогодні боронить нашу державу. Також була звершена заупокійна літія за всіх, хто відійшов у вічність, захищаючи Україну та віддаючи своє життя за свободу і мир.
Особливою подією для нашої парафіяльної громади стало вручення офіційної прокламації від міста Goshen, яка проголошує 24 серпня Ukrainian Heritage and Independence Day — День української спадщини та незалежності.
Ця прокламація стала можливою завдяки ініціативі нашої парафіянки, пані Каті Луценко, за що ми висловлюємо їй щиру вдячність.
Для нашої громади це велика честь і водночас історична подія — офіційне визнання української спадщини та Незалежності України нашим містом.
Нехай Господь береже Україну, наших захисників та їхні родини, дарує нашій Батьківщині справедливий мир, а всім, хто віддав своє життя за Україну, — вічний спокій.
Молимося за Україну. Пам’ятаємо. Дякуємо. 🇺🇦🙏

Today, on the 12th Sunday after Pentecost, the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in our church.
Today’s Gospel reminds us that the path to God requires not only good deeds, but also a willingness to give Him first place in our lives. Christ calls us not to become attached to earthly things, but to trust in God and follow Him. And what seems impossible to people is possible with God: “For people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26).
On the eve of Ukrainian Independence Day, we especially prayed for peace in Ukraine, for our defenders, and for all those who are defending our country today. We also offered prayers for the repose of all those who have departed this life while defending Ukraine and giving their lives for freedom and peace.
A particularly meaningful event for our parish community was the presentation of an official proclamation from the City of Goshen, recognizing August 24 as Ukrainian Heritage and Independence Day.
This proclamation became possible through the initiative of our parishioner, Mrs. Katia Lutsenko, to whom we express our sincere gratitude.
For our community, this is a great honor and, at the same time, a historic event — the official recognition of Ukrainian heritage and the Independence of Ukraine by our city.
May the Lord protect Ukraine, our defenders and their families, grant our homeland a just and lasting peace, and grant eternal rest to all those who gave their lives for Ukraine.
We pray for Ukraine. We remember. We give thanks. 🇺🇦🙏
