Hard to believe it has only been a year... Take a moment and pray for the future! Camp remains empty, but We serve a God of miracles! Our board will be meeting on Thursday. DM with any questions or thoughts we might discuss or consider moving forward.

Update: We were unsuccessful in our bidding. However, we are not done working to secure a property for Summer 2020. Thanks for your prayers! This was something we felt we needed to rule out before moving forward with other potential locations.

Attention Prayer Warriors!

Today at noon Eastern, a couple of us will attend the auction at the Romney, WV courthouse with the intention to purchase Timber Ridge Camp (the vacant camp property adjacent to the former CSC property). We have friendly investors attending with the intention to present Capon Valley Bank with down payment if the price is right. These investors will in turn lease the camp to our new organization until we are able to purchase.

Securing a property is the next necessary step to continue along the path that we believe the Lord is guiding us down. We would appreciate your prayers and support as we carefully navigate this process. Specific prayers for favor, guidance, and discernment would be very much appreciated!!

If you, or anyone you know, believes you could be a practical support to Camp Made Ministries, please prayerfully consider joining our cause! In the meantime, please pray. We will provide an update when we have more information. Thank you!

Have we received an education over these past six months! Heart-searching, letting go of pride, forgiveness, patience, and trusting God are among a few of the lessons that have refined our resolve, but the chief virtue that is relevant today: perseverance.

We’re still here!

Although it has been several months since we have posted an update, we have been hard at work on multiple fronts; patiently addressing some unexpected health concerns as well as waiting on the courts to see what may happen with a potential future property.

Yesterday marked six months since camp’s closure. During that time, we have been thankful for the work of our Board Members and other supporters during this difficult and challenging season. This group has researched dozens of leads, researched countless future possibilities, and spent extensive time meeting, calling, and praying over our next steps.

It is clear that we will not secure a property in time to advertise and fill camp for summer 2019. However, recent developments may give us opportunity to enter into a multi-year lease and an opportunity to work on a property this summer in preparations for summer 2020! This would allow us to develop a program and a process moving into the future. We are uncertain of what tomorrow holds, but we are certain of who holds it. In the waiting, we are exercising obedience to the call that God has laid on our hearts: to make Jesus known through fun and dynamic camp experiences.

Please pray about ways you may be able to help; we are still in need of experts in the field of accounting, law, insurance, construction, etc. We will be excited and ready to answer your thoughtful questions and are encouraged already by your tremendous support.

Thank you for your prayers! Last night was our first annual meeting. We approved bylaws, established our board and elected officers. We will soon post more of this information on our website. We also agreed that it is essential to our success for us to offer a camp program this summer. We are working tirelessly to establish this new camp experience and welcome your help! If you would like to plug in, please let us know. We have been truly blessed by your support this past month! Please keep praying, communicating, and giving of your various gifts. We took a big step in what will be a long journey, we look forward to sharing the road ahead with you and your family!
