First Baptist Church has been salt and light in Gordon, TX for 147 years! Here you can see our first church building. We were established in 1879, the same year that the lightbulb was invented, and from that day on we have shone the light of Christ without ceasing! We were worshipping Jesus through both world wars, the great depression, COVID, and many other circumstances, and we will continue to worship Jesus and share His love for as long as God allows us! You are invited to join us to worship Jesus with us and be part of this beautiful history!
