🌿 TGIF: Thank God I Am Faithful Friday

Matthew 28:18-20 | Hebrews 10:19-25

In a world that celebrates popularity, God honors faithfulness.

Anyone can be faithful when the sun is shining.
But real faithfulness is revealed when the road gets rough, the answers are delayed, and the outcome is uncertain.

Jesus gave His disciples a mission to go, teach, disciple, and serve. Then He made them a promise:

“And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

That promise is still true today.

Faithfulness is not about having all the answers.
It’s about trusting the One who does.

Faithfulness is showing up when you’re tired.
Praying when you don’t feel like it.
Serving when no one applauds.
Giving when it’s inconvenient.
Standing when others sit down.
Believing when others walk away.

Hebrews challenges us to hold unswervingly to the hope we profess because He who promised is faithful.

The reason we can remain faithful is because God has already proven that He is.

So today, don’t focus on how far you have to go.
Thank God for the grace that has brought you this far.

🔥 You are still standing.
🔥 You are still believing.
🔥 You are still growing.
🔥 You are still trusting.

And that is worth celebrating.

🙏🏾 Prayer

Father, thank You for being faithful in every season of our lives.

When we are weary, strengthen us.
When we are discouraged, encourage us.
When we are tempted to quit, remind us of Your promises.

Help us to remain faithful to Your calling, faithful in our worship, faithful in our service, and faithful in our witness.

May our lives bring glory to You, and may we encourage one another to keep pressing forward in faith.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

✨ TGIF: Thank God I Am Faithful Friday! ✨

Today, we pause to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedom. We remember their courage, their service, and their selfless love for this nation.

As we reflect this Memorial Day, we also give thanks for the countless African American soldiers and veterans whose sacrifices and contributions helped shape the history of our country. Their legacy of strength, perseverance, and patriotism will never be forgotten.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13

May we never take their sacrifice for granted. We honor them. We remember them. We thank them. 🇺🇸✝️

🌿 Triumphant Thursday: The Church Was Born in Crisis 🌿
Acts 2:1–4

The Church was not born in comfort.
It was born in pressure.
Born in uncertainty.
Born after betrayal, crucifixion, fear, and waiting.

The disciples were gathered together after one of the darkest seasons they had ever experienced. Jesus had ascended. The future was unclear. The pressure was real.

But while they were waiting… Heaven moved.

Suddenly, there came a sound from heaven like a rushing mighty wind, and the Holy Spirit filled the house.

What looked like a crisis became the birthplace of power.

That means your hard season does not have to destroy you.
God can use it to birth something greater.

Some of the strongest faith is born in suffering.
Some of the deepest prayer is born in brokenness.
Some of the greatest power is born in moments where you feel completely empty.

The disciples went from hiding in fear to preaching with boldness.
Why? Because when the Spirit showed up, everything changed.

And maybe that is the word for somebody today:

You are not falling apart.
Something is being born in you.

🔥 New strength.
🔥 New boldness.
🔥 New vision.
🔥 New fire.

Do not despise the crisis.
God may be using this very moment to prepare you for purpose.

🙏🏾 Prayer

Father, thank You that You still move in difficult places.

When life feels uncertain, fill us with Your Spirit.
When fear tries to silence us, give us boldness.
When pressure weighs heavy, remind us that power can be born in crisis.

Breathe fresh fire into our hearts, homes, and churches.
Let us not leave this season weaker—but stronger, wiser, and filled with Your presence.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. 🔥✨

Triumphant Thursday: Stand Anyway

1 Kings 18:21 | Daniel 3:17–18 | Psalm 119:30 | Isaiah 41:10 | Romans 12:2

There will be moments in your life when truth will leave you standing by yourself.

The crowd may choose compromise.Friends may grow silent.People you expected to stand with you may walk away.

But if you are standing with God, you are never standing alone.

Elijah stood before a nation and asked, “How long will you waver between two opinions?” Joshua and Daniel’s friends refused to bow. They declared, “Our God is able to deliver us—but even if He does not, we still will not bend.”

That is triumph.

Triumph is not having the majority on your side.Triumph is having the Master on your side.

Sometimes obedience will isolate you.Sometimes conviction will cost you.Sometimes righteousness will make you unpopular.

Stand anyway.

Stand when the crowd chooses comfort over truth.Stand when culture pressures you to compromise.Stand when doing right costs more than doing wrong.Stand when your faith is tested in the fire.

Because God does His best work with people who refuse to bow.

You do not need everyone’s approval. You need God’s presence.

And when God is with you:
🔥 Fire cannot consume you.
🌊 Pressure cannot drown you.
🌪️ Opposition cannot overthrow you.

Prayer
Father, give us courage to stand when standing is hard.

When the crowd goes another way, anchor us in Your truth. When compromise seems easier, strengthen our convictions. When we feel isolated, remind us that Your presence is enough.

Help us choose faithfulness over popularity, obedience over comfort, and truth over acceptance.

Teach us to stand boldly, love deeply, and trust You completely.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

🌿 Triumphant Thursday 🌿
Exodus 20:9 | John 5:17 | John 9:4 | Acts 20:33-35 | 2 Thessalonians 3:5

God never called us to sit around and waste the day away.
Jesus said, “My Father is always working.” And because He is working… we should be working too.

Work is more than a paycheck.
It is purpose.
It is service.
It is stewardship.
It is showing the love of Christ through what we do and how we treat people.

The Bible reminds us:
✨ Work while it is day.
✨ Give more than you take.
✨ Help the weak.
✨ Stay faithful even when it gets hard.

Somebody is tired today.
Somebody feels overlooked.
Somebody feels like their labor does not matter.

But hear this clearly:
God sees every sacrifice.
Every early morning.
Every long shift.
Every tear.
Every act of kindness done when nobody was clapping for you.

Do not lose heart.
The same God who redeemed you is strengthening you.

Keep serving.
Keep building.
Keep loving.
Keep working with purpose.

Because triumph is not just in what you accomplish…
it is in staying faithful while you do it. 🙌🏾✨

🎒📖 “JESUS IS THE WAY”

Self-Learning Sunday School (Kids & Youth)

🎯 BIG IDEA

👉 “Jesus doesn’t just show the way… He IS the way!”

🎥 STEP 1: WATCH

Watch the video first (same one the adults are watching).
👀 Pay attention to how Jesus shows us how to live.

https://youtu.be/U0WckHNYN2o?si=2kNw8lmiDtVthFZE

🧠 STEP 2: THINK ABOUT IT

🧒🏽 Kids (Younger)

Circle or say your answers:

* Jesus is the:
☐ Way ☐ Teacher ☐ Friend ☐ All of these
* When I follow Jesus, I will:
☐ Make good choices
☐ Be kind
☐ Listen and obey
☐ All of these

👉 Think:
“What is ONE good choice I can make this week?”

🧑🏽 Youth (Older)

Be real with yourself:

* Am I actually following Jesus… or just saying I believe?
* What part of my life is NOT on the right path?
* What is pulling me away from God?

👉 Write it down (be honest—that’s where growth starts)

🛤️ STEP 3: CHOOSE YOUR PATH

Imagine two paths:

❌ My Way

* Doing whatever I want
* Ignoring God
* Following the crowd

✅ Jesus’ Way

* Praying first
* Making wise choices
* Showing love
* Doing what’s right

👉 Ask yourself:
“Which path am I really walking right now?” 👀

✍🏽 STEP 4: WRITE IT OUT

🧒🏽 Kids

Draw a picture of:

* You walking with Jesus 🚶🏽‍♂️✨
* Or you making a good choice

🧑🏽 Youth

Write 3 sentences:

1. One area I need to change is: ______
2. One step I will take this week: ______
3. How I will follow Jesus daily: ______

🛠️ STEP 5: DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT

This week:

✅ Pray before you start your day
✅ Think before you act: “Is this God’s way?”
✅ Make ONE better choice than you did last week
✅ Encourage someone else to do the same

💬 STEP 6: SAY IT OUT LOUD

👉 Kids:
“Jesus, help me follow You every day!”

👉 Youth:
“I choose God’s way over my way—even when it’s hard.”

🙏🏽 STEP 7: PRAYER

“Lord, thank You for being the way. Help me follow You every day—not just with my words, but with my life. Guide my choices and keep me on the right path. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

🔥 FINAL CHALLENGE

👉 Don’t just WATCH the lesson…
👉 Don’t just READ the lesson…

💥 LIVE IT 💥

It’s about being intentional.

Let’s stop visiting “The Way”…
and start LIVING in it 💯🔥

Triumphant Thursday Devotion: He Was With You All Along

Acts 2:14, 22-33 | Psalm 16 | 1 Peter 1:17-21 | Luke 24:13-35

Two discouraged disciples were walking away from Jerusalem, talking about everything that had happened. Their hopes were crushed. Their hearts were heavy. They thought the story was over.

But while they were walking in confusion… Jesus joined them on the road.

They did not recognize Him at first.

How many times has God been walking with us while we were busy grieving, worrying, doubting, and trying to make sense of it all?

In Acts 2, Peter boldly declared that death could not hold Jesus.
In Psalm 16, we are reminded God does not abandon His people.
In 1 Peter, we are told we were redeemed by something greater than silver or gold—the precious blood of Christ.

And in Luke 24, we see this truth: Even when you cannot recognize Him, Jesus is still near.

Sometimes triumph does not come as thunder.
Sometimes it comes as quiet footsteps beside you on a hard road.

Sometimes victory is not instant change.
Sometimes victory is discovering you were never alone.

✨ Teaching Point

The disciples thought they were leaving the place of promise, but they were actually walking with the Promise Himself.

Many times we think because life did not go the way we planned, God must be absent. We assume silence means abandonment, delay means denial, and disappointment means defeat. But the Emmaus road teaches us that God can be closest when He feels farthest.

Jesus did not first reveal Himself with a miracle. He revealed Himself through presence, conversation, Scripture, and breaking bread.

That means triumph is not always dramatic. Sometimes triumph is:

* Strength to keep walking another day
* Peace while answers are still missing
* Hope rising while tears are still falling
* Understanding that comes after confusion
* A burning heart before visible change

The disciples said, “Did not our hearts burn within us?” Their situation had not changed yet, but something inside them had.

That is real victory.

When Jesus walks with you, despair can turn into direction, confusion can turn into clarity, and brokenness can turn into belief.

Never judge God’s presence only by what you can see.
Sometimes He is doing His deepest work while unrecognized beside you.

🙏🏾 Prayer

Lord, thank You for walking with us even when we do not recognize You.

When our hearts are heavy, stay near.
When our minds are confused, open our understanding.
When hope feels distant, remind us the tomb is still empty.

Set our hearts on fire again like the disciples on the Emmaus road.
Turn discouragement into joy, doubt into faith, and weariness into worship.

Help us see that triumph is not far away—
You are already with us.

In Jesus’ name, Amen. ✨

🌟 Springhill CME Church Kids’ Bible Lesson 🌟
April 19, 2026

This week we’re learning that children are God’s gift and example!
Jesus shows us that kids teach grown‑ups how to love, trust, and believe.

Let’s explore what it means to have a heart like a child for God. 💛

Bible Basis: Mark 9:36–37, 42; Mark 10:13–16

Memory Verse: “Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” — Mark 10:15 (KJV)

💛 Lesson Focus

Jesus loves children! He shows that kids are special gifts from God and examples for everyone.
He teaches grown‑ups that the way children trust, love, and forgive shows what faith should look like.

👶 1. Children Are Special! (Mark 9:36–37)

Jesus hugged a child and said, “When you welcome a child, you welcome Me.”
That means God wants us to treat every child with kindness and respect.

Think About It:

• How can you show kindness to other kids at school or church?
• What does it mean to “welcome” someone?

Try This:
Smile at someone new this week and say something kind!

🛡️ 2. Children Need Protection! (Mark 9:42)

Jesus warned that hurting or leading a child the wrong way is very serious.
He wants us to help each other do what’s right.

Think About It:

• How can you help keep others safe and happy?
• What should you do if someone is being treated unfairly?

Try This:
Be brave and speak up for kindness — even when it’s hard.

🙏 3. Children Show Faith! (Mark 10:13–16)

When people brought children to Jesus, He welcomed them and blessed them.
He said the Kingdom of God belongs to people who have hearts like children — trusting, loving, and open.

Think About It:

• How do you show trust in God?
• Why does Jesus love childlike hearts?

Try This:
Say a short prayer:

“Jesus, help me trust You like a child and love others like You do.”

🌈 Lesson Truth

Children teach grown‑ups how to believe!
When you love, forgive, and trust easily — you show what God’s Kingdom looks like.

💬 Memory Verse Practice

Say it out loud three times:

“Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.” — Mark 10:15 (KJV)

Then ask:
How can I have a heart like a child for God?

🏠 Home Challenge

This week:

• Share one kind word each day.
• Pray for your family and friends.
• Thank God for making you His special gift!
