Thank you for the outpouring of love for the McAlister family. Many of you have asked how you can help. As the McAlister family walks through this difficult time, we invite you to help lighten their load by providing a meal. Church family and friends,

It is with deep sadness that we let you know that Pastor Matt has entered into the arms of God at 12:15. While we rejoice that he is home with his Heavenly Father, we are heartbroken for Shannon and the kids. We are comforted and rest in knowing that he has heard the words, "Well done, good and faithful servant." Matt 25:23

Pastor Matt has this verse as one of his favorites Galatians 2:20 "I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the son of God."

We are grateful that God has given us this
time with Matt as the Under Shepherd of our church-as he would say. "God is the Shepherd, I am the under shepherd."

We ask that you continue to keep Shannon and the kids in your prayers. Please give them some private time as they cope and grieve.

Friends,
We need prayer warriors. Pastor Matt has taken a turn for the worse. We would ask that if you are willing to prayer for Pastor Matt and his family around the clock tonight and going forward. Put the time you will pray in the comments. Our church has done this already. We have people praying at 12 am, 12:10 am, 12:30 am 4:30
am, 5 am, 6-6:30 am, 9-9:30 am 8:30 pm, 11 pm. Some will pray every hour. Some during the day. We had nothing but prayer tonight for our service. If you are willing just comment with a time you're willing to pray.

We thank you for your continued prayers for Pastor Matt, his family, and our church family. As of this time there has been a slight improvement in some of his numbers. He is still in ICU. Out of respect for the family we ask that you do not text or call Shannon for updates. She is with Matt most of the time other than meals and time with the family or trying to get rest. Her phone needs to be available for the hospital to keep in contact with her when she is not here. She is so appreciative for everyone reaching out to her and her family.

If you have questions about anything: updates, meals/ donations for the family you may contact, Cindy Brewer. Please leave a message and she or another contact person will get back to you.

Please call or text only between the hours of 8:00 am and 7:00 pm. Those that are contact people are in and out throughout the day. We will try to respond within 24 hours. We are receiving hundreds of texts, emails, and phone calls. We spend the evening trying to catch up with everyone.

We have heard that many church's and individuals want to help with meals/meal train and donations. We are humbled and grateful for your prayers and outpouring of love for Matts family and our church family please contact Cindy Brewer.

While we pray for Pastor Matt, let's also pray for our youth as they left for youth camp Monday morning. They will return Friday afternoon. Blessings Leon and campers!
