Acts 19:9 describes Paul leaving the local synagogue in Ephesus to teach daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus after facing rejection and public opposition.
"But some of them became obstinate; they refused to believe and publicly maligned the Way. So Paul left them. He took the disciples with him and had discussions daily in the lecture hall of Tyrannus."
The Conflict:
Some people in the synagogue grew stubborn and spoke evil of "the Way" (an early name for Christianity) in front of the crowd.
The Separation:
Paul separated the believers from the non-believers and left the synagogue.
The New Location:
Paul moved his daily teaching and discussions to the Hall of Tyrannus, shifting his ministry to reach a broader audience of both Jews and Greeks in Ephesus.
Acts 19: 1, 9-10
"And it happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland country and came to Ephesus...he (Paul) reasoning daily in the hall of Tyrannus. This continued for two years, so that all the residents of Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks."
