On Friday, September 28, 1951 a small fleet of airplanes conducted a program in the sky over the surrounding territory of Giles County, Tennessee dropping literature and revival circulars on several small towns nearby. Quite a number of people were attracted to the meeting in this manner. The Musgrove family said that they were in the cotton field in the Goodspring community as the planes flew over. Gladys Musgrove -Glover said she was only 11 years old and could remember it well, "It was amazing, like it was snowing papers, and because of this most of her family got saved and joined the church".
“Who are these that fly as a cloud, and as the doves to their windows?” Isaiah 60:8
The other special feature of the revival was the showing of pictures of Church activities on two successive Saturday nights. Brother Bancroft showed the congregation films on "The Biblical Wonder" and "Highlights of the General Assembly." These two films aroused quite an interest in the Church program and gave the campaign quite a boost. On the Sunday the meeting closed, 11 were baptized in water, with quite a large group on hand to participate in that service. The group, composed of Brother and Sister Creel, Brother and Sister Olen Fiveash, Leroy Field and Brad Dewberry.
One outstanding thing which was of great benefit to the work was the readiness with which WKSR, the local radio station, received and broadcast news of the revival. The newscaster was so stirred by the story of the Fields of the Wood and of our fleet of airplanes, that he insisted we make a tape recording explaining all these things to be broadcast during the noon hour news.
Bishop Amos J. Creel, general evangelist of the Church of God, was happy indeed to tell the citizens of Pulaski and all other cities within 60 miles about the Biblical Wonder of the Twentieth Century. The Lord also arranged a write-up in the local paper for us which was an aid in letting the people know the Church of God was in town. At the very hour the transcription was being broadcast the airplanes were being made ready to leave the ground in behalf of the gospel. The planes drew a great deal of interest and attracted unprecedented crowds to Abernathy Airport on Sunday afternoons. This, of course, helped advertise the revival and no doubt was the direct cause of many receiving the message when otherwise they might not have given a thought to the Word of God. Brethren, it is our duty to get the message to every creature, the rest is up to God. If we continue to do our part we need never fear, God will do His.
One Sunday afternoon as we were "bout to leave for the airport, Brother Creel learned that Brother Brad Dewberry, our bassist, did not have the baptism of the Holy Ghost.
Everything stopped and Brother Creel began to talk and preach to Brad about receiving the Holy Ghost. In just a few minutes Brad's faith was built up and Brother Creel, being led of the spirit, laid his hands On him and the Holy Ghost fell on him and he began to speak in other tongues. Just as the twelve at Ephesus believed what Paul preached and received the Holy Ghost by the laying on of hands, so did Brad. When his faith reached forth for the blessing, the Lord baptized him right there in the house trailer.
First Revival was held Aug. 12 - Sept. 18 1951. The revival was conductive by Bishop D.D. Creasy and an assistant from Arkansas, Rev. T.W. Bradley. The results of this revival a local church was set in order with 12 new members.

Bro. Frank Gibson was appointed to serve as pastor for the 1952 assembly year.
The second revival was conducted by the General Biblical Wonder of the 20th Century Campaign Party, was held Sept. 22 - Oct. 14, 1951. with 29 experiences, 13 saved, 5 sanctified, 11 baptized with the Holy Ghost and 12 added to the church. 10 Baptized in Water. The revival came to a close with the observance of the Lord's Supper and Feet Washing.
These 2 revivals were the beginning of the Church of God in the Anthony Hill / Goodspring Tennessee area.
