Praise Report!!!
BUT GOD
Yesterday we went to the Holliday Unit to bring the Word and have church with the men there.
I walked in prayed up and ready...or so I thought.
God had a different plan.
When we entered, the guys had already been praying and ushering in the Spirit. The air was thick with His Presence. It was a perfect setting for what played out.
One of the men brought the exhortation. But it wasn't just any exhortation. It was one prayed over and delivered by the Spirit to him. I say this because two hours before the service God changed his entire message!
As soon as he began it was clear to us that his words led directly into what we were preaching on.
He did an amazing job. Not because he had everything figured out, but because he was willing to be used by the Lord.
Then the praise and worship!
These guys are not the greatest choir I have ever heard. But...
They worship with PURITY.
They worship with GRATITUDE.
They worship because they KNOW and ACKNOWLEDGE what they have been forgiven from.
It was beautiful.
At one point, I felt led to request a particular song. Before I could even make the request, the worship leader began with that exact song!!!
Come on somebody! That's not coincidence. That is them hearing from the Lord.
And then the altar call.
One man surrendered his life to Jesus Christ. And all the angels of Heaven rejoiced.
Many others came forward for prayer.
Lives were touched. Hearts were opened. Confidence in them being World Changers increased.
We went there to feed these men the Word of God...
BUT WE WERE FED TOO.
Today wasn't about perfect people. It was about a perfect God using imperfect people who are willing to surrender.
Thank you Lord for a perfect service with imperfect people.
