Hey everyone. Please help us reach our goal for this amazing mission. Children around the world will be able to know Jesus through your generosity. 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Hillview families please remember we are gathering items again this year for Operation Christmas Child. School supplies and books are easily found this time of year. (Remember they will have to fit inside a shoe box). Thank you to all who have already brought your items. We hope to make this a huge success.

*Before God answers us:

The waiting.
The uncertainty.
The unanswered questions.
The sadness.
The guilt.
The unknown.

*After God answers us:

The blessing.
The answers.
The gift.
The reality.
The Joy.
The freedom.

*What we should expect:

There is so much we will learn through the waiting.
There is so much we will attain during the silence.
There is a never ending source of gratitude.

There is a freedom found in waiting in God’s timing and not our own.

If today you are walking through unanswered prayers - let this be a guide for your heart, your soul and your future.

Waiting on God’s timing is always the best use of our prayers. Let Him guide you in all that you do. He will never leave or forsake you. 🙌🏻🙌🏻🙌🏻

This is such a profound statement.

Can we as humans absorb the fact that the love of Christ has been with us since before our birth and will continue throughout our journey through eternity?

There is no greater love.

There is no greater Father.

There is no end to the love that God showers over our daily lives.

From the beautifully written hymn “It is well with my soul” come the words that everyone can relate to at some point in our lives.

“When peace like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll.
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say…
It is well, it is well, with my soul.

It is well, with my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul.

Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come…
Let this blest assurance control.
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate and hath shed His own blood for my soul.

My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole. Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul!”

Songwriters: Horatio G. Spafford / Keith Getty / Philip Paul Bliss

If you have never heard the story of how this song came to be - it was out of tremendous heartbreak and overwhelming grief - yet Horacio G. Spafford praised his Heavenly Father for His constant and healing love.

Let us all know that the love of Christ will heal and comfort our hearts and soul. If we only ask Him through prayer.

Hillview is a family integrated church. Children of all ages join us in music & prayer worship prior to the message by Pastor Rich. Ages 5 and under go to Children’s class during this time. Children 5+ stay in the sanctuary with their families.

When should you start your child in church? At birth of course. What these precious souls learn from ages birth to 5 is so important to the learning of scripture, the relationships they will make, the joy they will have and the seed that will be planted for the years to come.

So just bring them…..

Bring Them Anyway
Bring them to church when they're tiny.
Bring them when they cry.
Bring them when they wiggle.
Bring them when they whisper too loudly, drop their crayons, need to potty three times, and somehow manage to make it through worship with a snack stuck to their shirt.
Bring them when you feel embarrassed because they aren't sitting perfectly still.
Because church isn't a performance, and your children don't need to be perfectly behaved to belong there.
They need to see you make time for God.
They need to hear the worship.
They need to watch you pray.
They need to grow up knowing that faith isn't something we only practice when it's convenient.
So take the toddler with the wild hair.
Take the baby who might cry.
Take the child who scribbles through the entire sermon.
Take them anyway.
Because you're not just trying to get through Sunday morning.
You're planting something in them that you pray will grow for the rest of their lives.
