This is such a profound statement.
Can we as humans absorb the fact that the love of Christ has been with us since before our birth and will continue throughout our journey through eternity?
There is no greater love.
There is no greater Father.
There is no end to the love that God showers over our daily lives.
From the beautifully written hymn “It is well with my soul” come the words that everyone can relate to at some point in our lives.
“When peace like a river, attendeth my way, when sorrows like sea billows roll.
Whatever my lot, thou hast taught me to say…
It is well, it is well, with my soul.
It is well, with my soul
It is well, it is well with my soul.
Though Satan should buffet, though trials should come…
Let this blest assurance control.
That Christ has regarded my helpless estate and hath shed His own blood for my soul.
My sin, oh, the bliss of this glorious thought! My sin, not in part but the whole. Is nailed to the cross, and I bear it no more.
Praise the Lord, praise the Lord, o my soul!”
Songwriters: Horatio G. Spafford / Keith Getty / Philip Paul Bliss
If you have never heard the story of how this song came to be - it was out of tremendous heartbreak and overwhelming grief - yet Horacio G. Spafford praised his Heavenly Father for His constant and healing love.
Let us all know that the love of Christ will heal and comfort our hearts and soul. If we only ask Him through prayer.
