Luke 9:51 Focus is revealed determination. Even though you know what awaits you - rejection, betrayal, resistance - you remain focused on your mission. Nothing can turn you around when your focus is greater than your obstacles. The enemy wants to weaken your progress. Do not allow delays to become excuses or criticisms to become discouragement. Refuse to allow temporary difficulties to derail your given assignment. Determination keeps praying when answers are delayed, keeps serving when appreciation is absent, and keeps moving when the road is difficult. Be resolute, do not stop moving forward. No obstacle is greater than the God who called you.

John 15:5 The branch of a tree has one purpose to stay connected to the vine, it does not force growth, it remains connected. Life of the vine flows through the branch. Many believers try to produce in their own strength and create what only can be done through God’s power. Self reliance creates disconnection. Release the pressure of self-sufficiency. You do not have to carry, fix or do everything. You are not to be the source but to stay connected to THE source. You are not designed to do life alone. You are designed to abide in Jesus. Everything you need will flow from him - strength, wisdom, peace. Before you plan, seek God’s guidance. Stop striving and start abiding.
