Good morning church family! Just a few updates on the week and chances to connect. I will also post the three questions from yesterday's message.
1. Fire and Fellowship this Wednesday and it's hosted at the Pengilly location. I will confirm Wed at 3pm if we have weather related issues. Fire and Fellowship will be from 6-8pm. Bring a lawn chair.
2. Park days - bring any kids to the Pengilly location for park days. Grand kids, your kids neices or nephews. It goes from 10am -noon. It's a great time to build Community. This happens on Friday!
3. Community Coffee - Fridays from 9am -12pm. Come and find Community and support missions. All drinks are $4.00. We would love to see ya!
4. Sunday church - please do not miss church and find a place to connect. We will be looking at Part 4 of a genuine follower of Jesus.
Reflection questions from this week's message.
This week I want you to look at the following three questions.
Pastor Zach describes the word of God as the "ultimate measuring stick" for evaluating our lives. In what specific areas of your life have you been relying on personal standards rather than Scripture, and how can you begin to let God's word evaluate those areas this week?
We are encouraged to be students of the Bible ourselves rather than relying solely on the teachings of others. What is one concrete change you can make to your daily routine to transition from passively hearing the word to actively studying it as a "blueprint" for your life?
The text suggests that the "vigour of our spiritual life" is directly proportional to the place the Bible holds in our thoughts. If you were to assess your current spiritual health, how does your consistency in reading Scripture reflect the level of growth you desire?
