🌟 SMALL GROUP SPOTLIGHT🌟 Meet the Sandbek's!

When Maddie and Taylor started attending Goochland Pres, they were ready to find their people! "We have always had a heart for hosting and building community. When we first started coming to Goochland Pres, we knew that a small group would be the best way to get involved and meet other families. We offered to host a group, and Pastor Joe offered to lead it last fall, so we started there and it has grown since!"

Maddie would sum up their small group as, "family friendly, laid back (very come as you are, with lots of kids running around!), and meaningful conversations."

Outside of church you can find Taylor cooking up a storm for the family of 7, while Maddie enjoys antiquing and tackling projects around the home! 🔨 🏡

Pack up the whole family, and join the Sandbek's every other Sunday @ 3:00 starting on September 13th!

You can explore other small groups as well during our small group open houses, starting in September.

🌟 SMALL GROUP SPOTLIGHT🌟 Meet the Farkases!

When asked why they chose to lead a small group, Jennifer told us, "We love small groups as a way to get to know people, to learn from others in different seasons and to feel known in our church community. We started leading so we could put our kids to bed and still get to be in the Word with others regularly. Now the kids put themselves to bed, but they have grown up being loved by our groups and seeing the importance of fellowship and the Word."

The three worlds she gave us to sum up their small group? "Faithful. Food. Fun."

We'll add emphasis on the "food" here folks! This couple knows their way around a smoker, and they once had a flaming baked Alaska at their small group meeting! 🔥

Goodbye Summer 2026, and hello to the new school year! 🎒 📚️

Rescue was only the beginning.

When Israel stood at the base of Mount Sinai, they weren't given a cosmic checklist to earn their freedom. They were given a blueprint for how to live in it.

Starting this Sunday, we are diving into a brand-new series: The Mount. Together, we’ll confront two questions: (1) What kind of God has saved us? (2) What kind of people are we called to be?

By looking into the mirror of the Ten Commandments, we don't just see rules - we see the breathtaking holiness of God, a vision for a thriving community, and our ultimate need for a Savior.

Get ready for some annual fireworks fun at Goochland High School! 🎆 Join the Taylor family in the back parking lot, right next to the white Honda Odyssey. Parking kicks off at 6 PM, and the fireworks are set to light up the sky around 9:15 PM. It will be a hot one, no worries – the high school gymnasium will be open for AC. Don’t forget your snacks, drinks, and a lawn chair for some good times and co****le! See you there!

Today's the day! Goochland Presbyterian is excited to host its first Kids Camp Day on July 31st. Kids 4 and older can join us for a morning of fun-filled adventures and fellowship. Feast Together: We are providing delicious BBQ, buns, and beans from Deep Run Roadhouse.

Explore & Relax: Take a stroll to enjoy the beautiful gardens, visit André’s art studio, or bring a pole to fish the pond.

Bonfire & S'mores: As the sun goes down, we’ll light the fire for s'mores and fellowship.

Movie Under the Stars: We will wrap up the evening by projecting the movie "David" right onto the side of André’s studio!

Bring a lawn chair or picnic blanket, plus a side dish or dessert to share. Friends, neighbors, and family are all welcome!

We are so excited to be part of this year’s Goochland Days — and we would love to see our entire church family there! ☀️🎉

We’re honored we were asked to host the Baby Care Station again this year! This space provides a quiet, welcoming space for nursing mothers and diaper changes throughout the event. It’s such a meaningful opportunity for us to serve our community in a tangible way.

But beyond serving, we simply want to spend the day together — celebrating and laughing with our church family and Goochland community.

🕙 THE GAME PLAN

🎈 10:00 AM — Parade Time
Come cheer loud and proud as the festivities kick off! We will meet at the green space by Goochland Cares (2999 River Road West)

🎶 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM — Church Tent Party
Stop by our tent next to the Baby Care Station for:
• Games
• Music
• Lollipops 🍭
• Fellowship & fun!
We will be set up in the kids zone by home plate (see map in photos)

If you’d like to volunteer with the church tent or help serve at the Baby Care Station, please reach out to Claudia Taylor or Jennifer Farkas.

Otherwise, bring a lawn chair, bring the kids, and come hang out with us for a great day together! We will be set up by first base
