💙 A Heartfelt Thank You to Our GCAM Volunteers 💙

To the residents of Gonzales County,

I would like to take a moment to recognize and thank the incredible volunteers who help make Gonzales Christian Assistance Ministry (GCAM) possible.

Diana, Diane, Liz, Sara, Orlanda, Grayci, Shayla, Cait and Patricia, work tirelessly to keep our thrift shop running smoothly. Countless hours are spent receiving donations, sorting items, pricing merchandise, creating displays, and assisting customers. Their dedication and commitment are truly inspiring.

These wonderful women share a common passion for serving others and strengthening our community. Their willingness to give of their time and talents has a direct impact on the families and individuals we serve every day.

Gonzales County is truly blessed to have volunteers who care so deeply and work so hard to help others. On behalf of GCAM and the many people who benefit from your efforts, thank you for all that you do.

If you or someone you know is in need of food assistance-let us deliver meals through our Home Delivered Meal Program. You will get 5 meals per week.

TO APPLY: Call the State of Texas at 210-438-6208. A representative will take an application over the phone. Once approved, we will receive notification to start delivery. That's it!

We deliver meals for the entire county of Gonzales.

If you have any questions, you may call our office at 830-672-7014.

🛍️ GCAM THRIFT SHOP INVITATION 🛍️

We would like to invite anyone looking for quality used clothing or household items to stop by the GCAM Thrift Shop.

Thanks to the generosity of our community, we have a wide variety of items available at very affordable prices. Whether you're looking for clothing, household goods, or simply enjoy finding a bargain, we would love to see you.

Even better, every dollar spent in our thrift shop helps support our food pantry. In fact, every $1 spent allows us to purchase approximately 5 pounds of food for families in need throughout Gonzales County.

We also gladly accept donations. Your donated items help us continue serving our neighbors and making a difference in our community.

Please come by and shop, donate, or simply learn more about what GCAM is doing to help those in need.

We will be updating our store hours in the near future to provide greater availability for our community, so please stay tuned for upcoming announcements.

📢 REMINDER FROM GCAM 📢

I would like to encourage anyone who knows of an elderly person who may be struggling with food insecurity to please let them know that help is available.

GCAM is available Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM for inquiries and food assistance. We are located at:

📍 708 Saint Louis Street, Gonzales, Texas

We pray that everyone in our community is doing well. While our resources currently limit us to providing assistance at our location, we remain committed to helping those in need.

Please take a moment to think about the people in your daily circle of life—especially seniors, those living alone, individuals with disabilities, or anyone facing difficult circumstances. A simple conversation could reveal a need that might otherwise go unnoticed.

If you discover someone who could use assistance, please help by bringing them to our location or by coming by yourself to learn how we may be able to help.

Gonzales is a caring and compassionate community. By staying vigilant, checking on one another, and lending a helping hand, we can continue building a stronger community together.

El Ministerio Cristiano de Asistencia de Gonzales (GCAM) está trabajando para identificar a las personas mayores del Condado de Gonzales que puedan estar enfrentando inseguridad alimentaria, falta de transporte, enfermedades, discapacidades o que vivan solas.

¿Conoce usted a algún adulto mayor que pueda beneficiarse de asistencia alimentaria, frutas y verduras frescas o una visita de bienestar por parte de miembros solidarios de nuestra comunidad?

Gonzales Christian Assistance Ministry (GCAM) is working to identify elderly individuals in Gonzales County who may be struggling with food insecurity, limited transportation, illness, disability, or living alone.

Do you know a senior citizen who could benefit from receiving food assistance, fresh produce, or a wellness check from caring members of our community?

If so, please send us a private message with their name and contact information, or ask them to contact us directly. All information will be kept confidential and used only to determine how we may be able to help.

Many of our elderly neighbors have spent their lives caring for others. Now it is our turn to care for them.

Please share this post so we can reach those who may not use social media themselves.

Together, we can make sure no senior in our community goes hungry.

This is a sample of one we made today.
We will be pairing this box along with a 20lb box of meat/protein.
Altogether, it's aprox 40 pounds of food.

¡Feliz Día de los Caídos! Tuvimos otra hermosa mañana sirviendo cajas de alimentos. Gracias a Mary Jane, Ellen, Kevin, Tanya, Diana, Mackenzie y Ken. No podríamos hacer esto sin nuestros voluntarios.

Gonzales, Texas es una comunidad maravillosa con personas amorosas que se levantan para ayudar a sus vecinos.
