Healing
One of the greatest needs in the world is the need for healing. So many are suffering in their bodies, emotions, and minds. Sadly, many teach against healing and steal the faith of those who are suffering. I want to briefly share two truths that can set you free to receive what God has for you.
First, God’s heart is for those who are suffering. Suffering did not come from God, it came from Adam’s sin. We can see God’s heart in the ministry of Jesus.
And when Jesus went out, He saw a great multitude; and He was moved with compassion for them and healed their sick. (Mt. 14:14)
Jesus was moved with compassion and healed the sick. They didn’t have great faith, nor were they sinless, nor did they have to qualify for healing. The fact that they were suffering qualified them, and God’s compassion healed them.
Understanding the goodness and compassion of God should awaken your faith to believe and receive. Multitudes weren’t following Jesus because He rebuked them and pointed out their sin. They followed Him because He was good. He is still good. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever!
Secondly, God has made provision for your health and healing.
He sent His word and healed them and delivered them from their destructions. (Ps. 107:20)
The Word of God is the healing power of God that is available to all. His life and power are in His Word. His words heal and deliver us. As we “hear” His words, healing goes to work in our hearts, minds, and bodies.
My son, give attention to my words; Incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; Keep them in the midst of your heart; For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh. (Prov. 4:20-22)
Life and health! That is the nature of God and the nature of His Word. If you need healing, turn off the distractions of the world and meditate in the Word of God. It carries His compassion and His provision. Healing is yours if you believe and receive.
