Also, I wanted to say that our annual campout in Kenly will be November 15 & 16 at the Church Of God Headquarters on Hwy 581 in Kenly. Details will follow but until then, enjoy this short video from the Eastern NC Pow-Wow that took place on 31 May - 2 June. Great time by all, even with the thunderstorm Friday evening.

It's been quite a while since I've posted anything. Haven't really had anything to post until now. We are gearing up for RTA (Ranger Training Academy) starting on August 9 and going through to August 15. Should be a lot of fun. Volunteers (Ranger Leaders) are needed still. There are other events happening at the same time and some of our leaders had already committed to them. If you want to help out, go to the ncroyalrangers.com website and apply to be on staff. Have your background check done and on file.

I got a message from Facebook that I haven't updated the page in a while so I figured I would take a couple of minutes and do just that. It's been a little busy for me for the last couple of weeks. As many of you know, on 26 June, I was airlifted from Wayne Memorial Hospital in Goldsboro to Rex Hospital in Raleigh after having, what the ER Doctor called, a major heart attack. 1 artery was completely collapsed and 2 more had some degree of blockage. They put a stent in the one that was collapsed and are continuing to treat the other 2 with medication. I was released the morning of the 28th and am doing fine. I would say around 90% right now. SO, THAT'S what's been going on for the last 2 weeks. Needless to say, I had to cancel a couple of Ranger meetings due to this but, we will be meeting this next Wednesday to continue our studies on First-Aid. And yes, I WILL have visuals to share with the boys. Hint; Femoral Artery and what it takes to stop the bleeding from that main artery. God Bless every one and thank you for all the prayers that have gone up in my behalf.

Gearing up for the camp out this weekend. Leaders need their utility uniform for Friday night and whatever for Saturday. It's supposed to be warm Saturday so, t-shirt and blue jeans will work fine. Boys uniform is their Ranger t-shirts if they have them and jeans. Moms pack your son's bag according to the weather forecast. Friday night down to the low 50's. A light jacket will be needed. ALSO, DON'T FORGET TO HAVE EACH OF THEM BRING A PILLOW. For the Park East boys, do what your Commander tells you. He knows what you have for equipment. I don't. There will be hobo stew for supper Friday, a good breakfast of eggs, bacon, and hash browns with orange juice Saturday, and hot dogs over the fire with chips for lunch. Nobody goes hungry. Let's all be safe and have a good, meaningful, fun, camp out.
