The heat is here, and for many in our community, staying cool and hydrated is not easy. That’s where we come in!

The Salvation Army of Goldsboro is launching a "Bottled Water & Fan Drive" to help bring relief, comfort, and hope to our neighbors facing extreme heat.

🙌 We’re collecting:
💧 Bottled Water (any size)
🌀 NEW Box Fans & Stand Fans

📍 Drop Off Location:
The Salvation Army
610 N William St

This is our chance to rally together and show what community looks like! Whether you donate one case of water or one fan, you are helping someone breathe a little easier and feel a little more cared for.

Let’s fill the lobby and flood our community with kindness! ❤️

Today, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that freedom is never free.

In observance of Memorial Day, The Salvation Army will be CLOSED today.

🏔️💐 REJOICE! 💐🏔️

What a beautiful weekend in the mountains as women gathered from all over North & South Carolina for our 2026 “Rejoice” Women's Retreat inspired by Isaiah 61:10-11!

“I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God…”

From powerful worship and encouraging workshops to unforgettable moments of laughter and fellowship, this weekend was filled with joy from beginning to end.

A special thank you to our wonderful guest speaker, Lisa Robertson, for sharing truth and encouragement that touched our hearts. 💕

And of course… the weekend would not have been complete without Price or Less! 🎉 Co-Hosted by our very own Capt. Dawn, the fun, surprises, and friendly competition had everyone laughing and cheering!

God reminded us this weekend that we are clothed in His salvation, wrapped in His love, and called to rejoice in every season. We leave refreshed, encouraged, and grateful for the friendships, memories, and blessings shared together.

Every Sunday, people from all walks of life gather together for worship, prayer, fellowship, and encouragement. Whether you’ve been in church your whole life or haven’t stepped inside one in years — there’s a place for you here.

Our doors are open to:
✨ Families
✨ Seniors
✨ Children & teens
✨ Those struggling
✨ Those searching
✨ Those simply needing hope

You don’t have to have it all together to belong here.

Day 1:

More Than a Red Kettle!

Did you know that The Salvation Army is both a church and a "local" community service organization?

Every day, we serve our neighbors through food assistance, emergency help, clothing vouchers, youth programs, spiritual care, disaster response, and so much more. But at the heart of everything we do is this simple mission:
❤️ Meeting human needs in His name without discrimination.

From Sunday worship to weekday outreach, we believe hope should be practical, compassionate, and available to everyone.

This National Salvation Army Week, thank you for allowing us to serve Wayne & Sampson Counties with love, dignity, and grace.

What a beautiful and meaningful Sunday at The Salvation Army Goldsboro Corps! ❤️

Today we celebrated so many special moments together:

🙏 The installation of our new Corps Sergeant Major, Hazel Ellis, as she steps into this important ministry leadership role.

👶 The dedication of sweet baby Avie — what a joy to stand with family and friends as we prayed blessings over his life and future.

🌸 Mother’s Day — honoring the incredible women who love, lead, pray, nurture, and serve so faithfully.

Our hearts are full of gratitude for God’s faithfulness and for the privilege of worshipping together as a church family. Thank you to everyone who helped make today so special!
