Thank you to the Piecemakers Quilters! On Sunday, we asked for God’s blessing for their lovely works that are headed all over the world and some also to local causes. Recipients in some tough living situations use these quilts to express their individuality. Not only did these ladies make these works of art and love, they also provided coffee hour.

The quilters meet at Christ the King Lutheran Church on some Mondays. (I will edit when they get back to me with more specific dates. Sorry I didn’t ask that before posting.) They are accepting donations to purchase more batting.

Today's 2nd Harvest Free Food event has been CANCELED TODAY. Of the two gentlemen who drive the truck from the Tri Cities, one had a death in the family and the other is out on maternity leave. Please keep them and their families in your prayers. We are very sorry!

Please join Christ The King Lutheran Church every Wednesday evening starting on February 25 and continuing through Wednesday, March 25 for our Holden Evening Prayer Service and Lenten Soup Suppers.

Please join us in the sanctuary for the Holden Evening Prayer service at 6:30 pm. Keeping things simple on our Lenton journey, soup and usually bread will be provided after the service in the Fellowship Hall.

Please join us if you are well and able for a Christmas carols candlelight service this Christmas Eve at Christ the King Lutheran Church located at 104 Simcoe Dr., Goldendale, WA 98620 at 7 PM.  We offer praise and thanks for God‘s most holy gift. 

Feel free to park in any of our three parking lots.

In the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA), Advent is the liturgical season of preparation and expectation that begins the church year, leading up to Christmas. Its meaning is multifaceted, celebrating both the first coming of Jesus at his birth and the anticipation of his second coming. It is a time for reflection, hope, and waiting, often symbolized by blue or violet colors and the lighting of candles on an Advent wreath.

Please join us on Wednesday evenings, December 3, 10, and 17, as we worship together. We will have a simple Holden Evening Prayer service after which you are welcome to join us for a soup supper. The service starts at 6:30 and lasts approximately half an hour. (Thank you to ELCA Lutheran Church of Middle Tennessee for use of your graphic.)

Please help us spread the word. We are grateful that there will be a Mobile Market 2nd Harvest food distribution at Christ the King Lutheran Church located at 104 East Simcoe Dr. on Tuesday, September 30 starting at 11 AM and lasting until the market runs out or 1:00 PM. Please have a space in your automobile for us to set your food, enter the parking lot on the Simcoe Drive side, and park as directed.

Second Harvest is here today, August 12, 2025, from 11 o’clock until 1 o’clock. Those working will be setting up starting at 10:00 AM setting tables, signs, and food. It will be hot today so please remember to stay hydrated.

Come meet our synod’s Bishop and find out what’s going on both in our synod and here at Christ the King with our internship program.
Northwest Intermountain Synod Bishop Meggan Manlove will be leading us during worship on Sunday August 17th. Adult Sunday school is at 9 o’clock and the worship service starts at 10 o’clock.
