It is with saddened hearts that the Chapel Hill Church announces the passing of Sis. Betty Johnson. But it is with great rejoicing that we know that she is standing in the presence of our Lord. Sis. Betty was the wife of Bishop W.E. Johnson. Bishop Johnson pastored several churches within the Magnolia Region in both Mississippi and Louisiana, including her home church at Chapel Hill. Bishop Johnson was appointed State Bishop of Alaska in the 80s. Sis. Betty loved being a teacher, a pastor’s wife, a state Bishop’s wife, and loved spending time with her family, cousins, and relatives.
