The Altar

The Altar Sundays 10 AM. Altar’d Youth Wednesdays 6:30 PM . Join us! We are a church of the altar. Everything flows out of prayer and worship.

Our Altar is the cross where we lay our burdens at His feet. Jesus meets us at His Altar and everything we need, He has!

God never called people to be the source of their needs. He called them to be stewards. There is a difference! πŸ‘‡

When someone believes everything depends on them, fear is never far behind. But Israel did not create the manna. They simply gathered what God provided. 🍞

The same is true today. Our responsibility is faithfulness. The provision belongs to God.

πŸ“– β€œAnd my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” -Philippians 4:19

πŸ›’ What does serving mean to you? Is it holding the door open for someone? Are you good at packing and sorting donations? Maybe you simply put other people's carts in the cart return at the store.

Serving comes in many forms, and each way you serve shows the love of Christ to your neighbor and brings honor and glory to God! πŸ’™

Church is more than a routine or something to check off once a week. People need community, truth, worship, and the kind of encouragement that happens when believers gather together. πŸ’™

Here are 4 reasons coming to church matters:

πŸ“– You need the Word of God in your life consistently, not watered-down entertainment but teaching that helps you know Jesus and grow in your faith.

🀝 You need people around you who are pursuing God, too. Nobody has everything figured out, but there is strength in walking through life alongside people who are trying to follow Him faithfully.

🎢 Worship resets your focus. In a world constantly pulling your attention in different directions, taking time to honor God reminds your heart what actually matters.

πŸ”₯ The world shapes people every day through fear, pressure, comparison, and compromise. Gathering with the church helps realign your heart with truth and reminds you who you are in Christ.

If you're looking for a family that honors God and loves the Church, we'd be so excited to welcome you to The Altar tomorrow!

πŸ”’ Some people live like they have a limited number of chances with God.

They carry shame from old mistakes and the weight of thinking they should be farther along by now. Then the enemy convinces them that God must be frustrated and done with them.

But mercy is who He is. πŸ™Œ

God does not wake up one day with less compassion than He had the day before. His mercy is not reduced by human failure, and it does not become unavailable because someone stumbled again. Scripture says His mercies are new every morning because every single day people need Him again. πŸ™

The reason you are still breathing, still pursued, and still invited into relationship with Him is simple. God is merciful. 🧑

Strong families are built in the small, consistent moments. πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦

Here are 5 ways to help your family grow closer together and to God:

πŸ“± Put distractions down sometimes and be fully present. It is possible to share a house and still miss each other. Conversations, laughter, and simple time together matter more than people think.

πŸ—£οΈ Learn how to work through conflict instead of shutting down. Healthy families are not perfect families. They are willing to communicate, extend grace, and keep showing up for each other.

🎣 Make memories together. Simple traditions, shared experiences, and having fun together build connection over time. What can you bond over?

🀝 Stay close in every season. Celebrate each other in the good moments and support one another in the hard ones. Consistency matters more than having all the right words.

πŸ™ Keep God at the center of everyday life. Pray together. Do Bible studies. Talk about faith naturally. Let your home be a place filled with peace, encouragement, and the presence of God!

People spend years trying to become worthy enough for God. They try to clean themselves up, make better decisions, and convince themselves that if the good outweighs the bad, maybe that will be enough. βš–οΈ

‼️ But Scripture teaches that people need rescue. So no matter how disciplined, moral, or successful someone becomes, nobody reaches the holiness of God on their own. That is why repentance matters. A person cannot receive salvation until they first recognize they cannot save themselves!

✝️ The Gospel is good news because Jesus steps onto the scales for us. What humanity could never accomplish through effort, He accomplished through the cross. When someone places their faith in Him, they are no longer standing before God based on their own righteousness but His.

β€œFor He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.” - 2 Corinthians 5:21

Through the good and the bad, we all need support and prayer. πŸ™

Is there something on your heart you need to bring to God? We'd love to pray with you and lift you to Him. You can share your requests in the comments, a private message, or an email at [email protected]. πŸ’™

If your version of β€œlove” never confronts sin, it’s not biblical love, and if your version of β€œtruth” has no mercy, it’s not the heart of God either. πŸ‘‡

God is not divided against Himself. His justice isn’t fighting His mercy, and His holiness doesn’t cancel His compassion. He is fully just, fully merciful, fully holy, and fully loving all at once!

We split God into parts because that’s how we live, but God has no parts. He is complete. πŸ™

That means the same God who corrects you is the God who died for you, and the same God who loves you refuses to leave you bound.

Stop creating a god in your own image. Jesus already showed us exactly who the Father is! πŸ™Œ
