Any volunteers available for Fridays food truck would be greatly appreciated. We will meet at Runnings parking lot to pick up the food and then be back at 33 Bleecker St. (Church street door) about 11:00, (give or take a couple minutes)to unload. I thank you in advance.

Scripture Luke:9:23-27

Key verse: 23 -Then he said to them all: “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross daily and follow me.

When we truly follow Jesus , we will be shaped by the cross. This means that daily, we will choose to:

Be obedient, even when it is hard to.

Forgive, even when we don’t want to.

Remain faithful even when it is inconvenient.

This is just a taste, Come join us as we feed more upon the words of Luke 3 on Sunday, September 13th.

John 1:35-51

We see some disciples of John, with a desire and hunger to know more about Jesus, and Jesus told them to “Come and See”.

They learned more about Jesus, and without having all the answers, they went and told others about their experience, and to “come and see”.

We don’t need to have it all together or have all the answers to accept the invite of Jesus. Likewise, we don't need to have it all together or have all the answers to invite others to come and see with us.

"Wisdom Starts Here"
Proverbs 9:1-18

Proverbs 9:10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.

In Proverbs 9, Solomon takes the time to distinguishes between “wisdom (1-12)” and “folly (13-18)”

I feel like we have an invitation, a choice to make and the question becomes, what will we choose?

The choice of wisdom comes with it's rewards as we read in verse 12, and that choice of wisdom means walking the Jesus way, leaving our old way behind us.
