Prayer Vigil for Fr. Ben Madu Saturday September 19th
At 10 am on Saturday September 19th there will be a rosary prayer vigil in honor of the late Fr. Ben Madu of the Gloucester Catholic community. Fr. Ben died suddenly earlier this year after learning of an immediate deportation order. The vigil will be in front of ICE headquarters in Burlington, 1000 District Avenue.

The Catholic Community invites people of all faiths to be there in solidarity with them, whether we pray the rosary or not!

On this anniversary, we hold in prayer those whose loved ones were killed, survivors, first responders, and all whose lives continue to be shaped by September 11 and its aftermath. On this 25th anniversary of the attacks on 9/11, we ring the bells 25 times at 9:15, in remembrance and sorrow. Please join in prayer.

On this day of solemn remembrance:
May we honor the lives that were lost in this tragic act.
May we give thanks for those who served and saved, rendered aid and assistance.
May we give comfort to those who live with loss.
May we seek justice and peace where it is within our ability,
and rely on you when the ability escapes us.

On this day of solemn remembrance:
May we build what has been torn down.
May we mend what has been broken.
May live Your love when hate seems to reign.
May we bear witness to the cause of peace. Amen.

Church Bells all over Gloucester will ring tomorrow morning @ 9:15, September 11th, in remembrance of our nation’s tragedy 25 years ago. Please be sure to thank a firefighter, EMT, Police Officer, Pilot or Flight Attendant for their service, on this solemn day.

Devastating floods in Nepal have claimed hundreds of lives, left many missing, and displaced families across affected communities. Global Ministries is in communication with our partner in Nepal and preparing to respond to urgent needs as aid can safely reach those affected.

Our partner shared, “At this critical moment, we would greatly appreciate your prayers for Nepal.”
