Dear friends of Helping the Homeless!

You all have been so generous in helping support us so that we can help those in need. The Homeless, the poor, and those who are unable to make it to other pantries during their work schedule.

Right now, like many pantries, our shelves are bare.

We need all things:

Meats
Fresh and canned
Already cooked Italian Meatballs
Veggies
Powerade
Water
Mac and cheese
Pop top
Beanie wearies
And pop lidded Veggies

We will be receiving donations this week on Tuesday and Thursday from 11-4, at our admin building pictured here address is 7040 George Washington Memorial Highway.

Helping The Homeless Ministries are very grateful to the Bombas socks company for another Grant we received- all these wonderful socks- that we give to The Homeless and people in need!

This is one of the most requested items The Homeless we serve here in other locations always ask for.

It’s crucial for them to protect their feet and this company has something special in there material that helps prevent foot rot a genuine condition that if goes untreated could lead to someone losing their foot.

Friends,

Because our Foodbus serves the 3rd Tuesdays in Middlesex, and because several of our volunteers who help receive donations, also serve on our Food bus team in Middlesex, we are only able to receive Food donations as well as distribute food to people in need 11 AM to 2 PM.

The address of our Admin office is 7040 George Washington Memorial Highway Gloucester VA Virginia. 

In the event, someone needs emergency food and can’t wait until Thursday of this week, you may go into the store and our Store Manager can assist you.

We are so grateful to our team with volunteers who serve on this ministry and help!

For anyone you see who is Homeless, let them know we have ice cold, bottled water as well as Gatorade and Powerade, and ice at our store free for them.

They may come inside to cool off!

Our Helping The Homeless Thrift Store is a hydration station for our Homeless!

As far as food donations needed currently, we need chicken, already cooked Italian meatballs, spaghetti, spaghetti sauce, spaghetti, hams, noodles, ready to eat soups, Gatorade, and power aids, bottled waters, and barbecue sauce!

We sure do thank all of you who support us and who bring us food. You are a blessing!

Good afternoon! Helping The Homeless mobile Food Bus will be driving out hunger tomorrow Tuesday May 19 in Middlesex!

Date and time of where we will be serving a free hot meal bagged groceries and other things is listed on the attached flyer!

Please note you do not have to be homeless to receive food from us and you do not have to although you are welcome to be a member of the church in order to receive

Grafton Baptist Church Deltaville, our food was there to distribute to people in need

God‘s love is free – so are our meals!

So incredibly thankful to Carol Borgman for blessing us with 3 spiral hams, and all this chicken meat we can prepare on our Smoker, as well as bottled waters, Gatorade‘s for Homeless Community, and all these big cans of green beans, which will make it so much easier when it comes to opening cans of vegetables for the food we serve on our Mobile food bus!

A total of 266 lbs!!!

On behalf of Helping The Homeless Ministries and Board of Directors, we thank the Gloucester Community Foundation as the donor of a generous grant we recently received!

This grant will be used in our driving out hunger program to the people in need and The Homeless. We serve in Gloucester County.

We are so grateful for being awarded and recognized for doing acts of service and filling the gap so many face with homelessness and hunger in our community.

We say thank you because we are grateful and because we are very thankful. We know we can’t do this without the support of this wonderful Community Foundation and the entire community of Gloucester County.

This Saturday, May 16, Helping The Homeless mobile Food Bus will be driving out hunger in Mathews County!

Same location, same time as noted on the attached flyer.

A free hot meal, some produce, bagged groceries and some Bamba socks will be given to those in need!

Please know that you do not have to be homeless to receive food. If you are hungry and facing hardship and food insecurities, this is for you.

God‘s love is free, so are our meals.

Food donations gratefully accepted Tuesdays and Thursdays 11 to 4 PM at our Food bank 7040 George Washington Memorial Highway Gloucester Virginia.

If anyone is in need of food, they are able to come during these days and times as well!

Here is a list of what we currently are in need of:

Gatorade
Pop tops
Cereal bars
Slim Jim’s
Fruit cups
veggies
beans & weenies
Canned vegetables
canned meats
Size 10 cans of vegetables

And if anyone is willing or able to purchase a spiral ham or two that we can cook for our food bus, that would be great!
