Tomorrow is the 8th Day of Christmas, on which the little Lord Jesus was circumcised according to the Law.

"When the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive time adoption of sons." Galatians 4:4.

"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call him JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins."

Christ came into the world to reconcile us to God. "Peace on earth, and mercy mild, God and sinners reconciled!" This restoration and forgiveness is given in a tangible and practical way in the holy sacrament of confession.

May we come to the Christmas feast having cast away the works of darkness and once again put upon us the armor of light.
