As the oldest parish in the diocese, Saint Mary’s Church is honored to be the first stop in the Diocese of Camden for the National Eucharistic Pilgrimage.

EVENT SCHEDULE
+ Holy Mass
+ Consecration of the United States of America to the Sacred Heart of Jesus by Bishop Joseph Williams
+ Eucharistic Procession around the block of Monmouth Street
+ Conclusion — Benediction

This is a wonderful opportunity for our parish and the surrounding community to welcome Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament and participate in this historic pilgrimage.

The Cross that was above the St. Mary’s Grammar School has been saved, restored and was placed in the Courtyard between the Dominican Center (former Convent) and the School. We would like to express our sincere thanks and gratitude to those who contributed to the SAVE THE CROSS Campaign. It was because of your generous contributions we were able to give the Cross a place of memorial. We intend to officially have an unveiling and dedication plaque in honor of the Dominican Sisters of Hope (Sisters of St. Dominican) sometime end of Summer, early Fall. We also would like to thank Walt McCleary (GCHS Alum) and his team who did the work to restore the Cross and made the pedestal to hold the Cross. Also a special thanks to Bob and Barbara (Keenan) Brown whom identified the cracks in the cross after a safety inspection and donated their resources to have the Cross safely brought down. We are ever so grateful!

Knights of Columbus Gloucester City Council 674 is holding a Coin Drop this Thursday and Friday, May 21 and 22, for the benefit of LARC School, St. John of God School, and the New Jersey Special Olympics.

Locations of the Coin Drop are Broadway & Monmouth Streets, Johnson Boulevard & Hudson Street, and Collins Road & Essex Street.

If you miss them on Thursday or Friday, the Knights will be taking a collection after Mass on May 23 and May 24.
