> St. Mary’s Parish has reserved a comfortable 55 passenger bus for the biannual diocesan pilgrimage to the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception in Washington, DC on October 26,2024. Holy Child Parish in Runnemede will be joining us on this bus trip. The cost is $35.00 per person. The bus will leave Gloucester City Library parking lot at 7:30 am on Saturday morning October 26th. We will leave the Shrine immediately after 3pm Mass. If you are interested please add your name to the sign up sheet in back of church or call the rectory at 856-456-0052 to reserve a seat. Don’t miss this opportunity to join with others from the Camden Diocese in honoring Our Blessed Mother!
Someone will be collecting after all the Masses on October 6th in the Blessed Mother vestibule for anyone who signed up or for anyone still interested in going. Seats are available. If writing a check please make it out to St. Mary’s Parish.
Rocky Kormann / KofC has graciously offered to make breakfast sandwiches for our trip. An order form will be available in the back of church as well 😋

Religious Education registration is now open for everyone, and this year we do have two different options to register.
Please contact me complete the form and send it in with payment on the first day of class with your student. The other option is that registration is available to fill out this year online. The link to the Google form is here if you wish to do so. If you choose to complete registration online please send the payment with your student on the first day of class.

Families if you have more than one student joining St. Mary's Religious Ed program this year, I ask that you, please fill out separate registration sheets for each student. Thank you!
One last bit of information, if you know anyone who would like to volunteer their time and talents as a catechist for our Religious Education program please send them my number or email. We are in need of a 5th and 7th-grade catechist for this upcoming school year.

The Knights of Columbus Council #674 will be distributing Baby Bottles at all Masses on October 12th and 13th. Contributions will be sent to First Way Life Center in Woodbury, NJ, who have provided Pregnancy Counseling & Information Services since 1970. St. Mary’s has always been one of the most generous parishes toward this cause. Please consider giving to this life saving effort. The bottles will be collected the following week at the Masses of October 19th and 20th. Thank you for your generosity.

40 Days for Life Campaign

Although abortion is no longer promoted as a constitutional right, each state sets its own limits. Sadly New Jersey laws do not protect babies. The Cherry Hill Woman’s Center has increased its abortion numbers due to out of state clients. Over 200 babies, up through 28 weeks in utero, die weekly.
The Fall 40 Days for Life Campaign begins on September 25th and goes through November 2nd, 2024. It will be one of hundreds of locations worldwide!
Join us on the sidewalk in front of the CHWC to witness to the value of every human life. We do NOT judge, but we peacefully pray for the babies and their parents and offer help. Nine babies lives have been saved this year that we know about. There are most likely more since it’s been reported that up to 75% of women may not keep their appointments if they see people praying outside. During the Fall campaign we hope to have 2people present to pray peacefully from 7am to 7pm Tuesday through Saturday. Most volunteers commit to 1 hour/week for the 6 weeks. St. Mary Church is doing a LIVE NATIVITY again in the Gloucester City Winter Wonderland on December 14th. BUT we need volunteers: Holy Family (Mary, Joseph and the baby, Jesus), kids for the animal costumes and adults for the wise men.
