The members of United Parish represent a wide variety of church backgrounds and a wonderful diversity of opinions and personal styles. This harmonizes well with our two denominations, both of which have a recent history of openness to and welcoming of a wide variety of different types of people and different styles of Christian thought

Join us at one of our two weekly sessions where we will dive deep and explore scripture, faith, and how to live out our faith in the modern world as individuals and as a community of believers.

Our kickoff book for this year's study will be 'Building Beloved Community' written by The United Methodist Council of Bishops. Let us know if you need a copy ordered for you!

*In-depth, interesting, contextual, and fun explorations into church tradition, Christian history, scripture, and spiritual practices.
*To grow in our individual relationships with God and together in our communal faith.
For this to be a safe space to gather as God made us to ask questions, to grow, to learn, and to wrestle with our conceptions of what it means to live out our faith.
*To build deeper community!

Your youth is invited to join our Ecumenical Confirmation Class!

In collaboration with three local churches, we are inviting youths who are ready to take the next step in their faith journey to engage with age appropriate lessons about scriptures, the Christian faith tradition, and spiritual practices along with fun games, service opportunities, and a winter retreat!

Over the past few months, our community left the walls of our church and brought a table to some community events. Doing so with the goal to say hello, offer a friendly word, and invite folks to visit. Along with this, we also asked folks a couple of questions. The first of which being: “Who is God to You?” and we received some wonderful answers!

God is:
*My Savior
*Everything
*You, me, my neighbor
*Comfort
*Love
*My heart
*The one to turn to
*A safe harbor in times of need and calm
*There for me
*Not gendered
*Someone you can talk to
*Eternal
*Light in the dark
*Good
*Creator
*Hope

What I love about these questions is that our conception of who God is, how God acts, what God calls us to do influences what we believe and how we live into our faith. So now we pass the question off to you! Who is God to you?
