We have served in a variety of functions since remodeling the old NAPA building in 2006 and 2007, and beginning Sunday evening services in 2008. Some time later we started Sunday morning preaching and video simulcasts with Pastor Mark Stump from Gassaway Baptist Church, and then began live preaching in 2012 with Pastor Lance Linden. In recent years we have hosted “Next Step Ministries”, a youth-oriented ministry based out of Wisconsin and overseen by Rosedale Missions in Rosedale, WV.
Recently, as of July 2019, we’ve joined the Little Kanawha Baptist Association affiliated with the West Virginia Baptist Convention, and the name of the ministry was officially changed to Anchor Bible Church. We exist to: SEEK: God and Friends. Acts 17:26-27 “From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us." SHARE: Our Lives, the Gospel & the Biblical Worldview. Thes.2:8 - “So affectionately longing for you, we were well pleased to (Share) or impart to you not only the gospel of God, but also our own lives, because you had become dear to us.” SERVE: People in the Church & World. Mark 10:45 - “For even the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve , and to give His life a ransom for many.” SEND: Fully-Trained Disciples into both Local & Global Contexts. John 20:21 - “So Jesus said to them again, Peace to you! As the Father has sent Me, I also send you.”
