Carmel's fast-working and mighty volunteers of all ages have done it again! Last Wednesday CYM youth and leaders assembled 144 breakfast bags for Caring for Friends families with school age children. On Sunday in Carmel kitchen's assembly line, volunteers assembled 300 meal trays to be distributed by the Caring for Friends organization. Each tray holds a hearty serving of pasta with protein casserole, veggies and a dinner roll.
The breakfast bags included healthy breakfast items and after school snacks plus a care card. Project Coordinators Sue Lohoefer and Katey Schuyler thank all the donors of supplies, casserole cooks, and packers who make the CFF mission projects possible.

Carmel hosted a team from First Presbyterian Church of Ambler's Clean Water Ministry for a Mission Sunday on April 12. After worship and a pot luck lunch, FPCA team members described their efforts since 2015 to provide pure water to El Salvador communities in need. Partnering with local Salvadoran communities and PC-USA's Living Waters for the World, the Ambler team installs clean water systems, provides education on their use, and maintains a relationship with the community. Results have been dramatic in reducing deaths and chronic diseases from unsafe water. Ambler invited Carmel to explore a variety of ways in which we could participate in this ministry.
