CALLING ALL GPC BAKERS TO HELP THE DEACONS AT THE SHALER COMMUNITY YARD SALE ON SEPTEMBER 12!

The Deacons are participating in the Shaler Community Yard Sale, which will be held on SATURDAY, SEPTEMBER 12, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kiwanis Park. The GPC participation in the Community Yard Sale will take the form of a BAKE SALE. This will be a fundraiser for the Deacons, as well as an opportunity to further represent Glenshaw Presbyterian Church to the community.

We are again asking for your support and donations. Thank you in advance as we know that our church members/bakers have always come through in supporting the Deacons and helping them raise funds for our church family and doing HIS work!

Please bring the donations to the downstairs church kitchen by 3 p.m. on THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10TH so that they can be packaged in “Grab and Go” bags on Friday for the next day’s event. Thank you!!!

LOOKING FORWARD TO SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 6Th.

On the first week of the month, we will begin our SEPTEMBER SERMON SERIES which is titled: NO FAIR! This three-week series discusses issues we often face as we go about our lives. As followers of Jesus, we are called to model the selfless love that Jesus exemplifies, even when people seem to not deserve it.

We’ll begin the series on Sunday, September 6 by learning how to fight like a Christian. No need to bring your boxing gloves to worship! We’ll be reading Matthew 18:15-20 to explore how we can settle conflicts. We will also celebrate communion this Sunday, which is a perfect way to remember that we are all part of God’s beloved family.

On Sunday, August 30, we had our worship service in the parlor and collected food and hygiene items for the Shaler School District Backpack Initiative. The pictures demonstrate the generosity of GPC members and their willingness to help those in need.

The Shaler Area Backpack Initiative is a program that was established in 2014 to assist district students in need of weekend food supplies. Food insecurity continues to be a concern in our community. Each family participating in this program receives a bag packed with child-friendly, single-serving snacks and easily prepared meals each Friday. The program distributes food to around 130 children

CALLING ALL SEASONED AS WELL AS UP AND COMING BAKERS!

The Deacons are participating in the Shaler Community Yard Sale, which will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Kiwanis Park. We will be offering a BAKE SALE which is a fundraiser for the Deacons, as well as an opportunity to further represent Glenshaw Presbyterian Church to the community.

You can help by donating bake goods to our bake sale. Thank you in advance as we know that our church members/bakers have always come through in supporting the Deacons and helping them raise funds for our church family and doing HIS work!
