Palm Sunday Service! All are invited to our special worship service this Sunday, March 29 at 10 a.m. as we celebrate Christ's Triumphant arrival in Jerusalem with special music, giving out palms, having baptisms, a special message from our pastor, and celebrating communion!

The Chancel Choir will sing the famous 'Sanctus' from the Saint Cecilia Mass by French composer Charles Gounod. A long-time favourite of choirs and congregations, this dramatic work invokes the power and majesty of Palm Sunday with a big crescendo and huge climax, a combination of French operatic drama and religious spirit. The choir will also sing the communion motet 'Thy Matchless Love' by Albany composer/organist Al Fedak.

Three hymns with special arrangements, descants and reharms by Bryan Kirk, Music Director and Organist, will add to the congregational experience of the excitement and passion of this day as we begin Holy Week. We will also have three baptisms and celebrate communion at our open table as part of this major day in the Church Year.

We invite you to come worship with us for our Christmas Eve services Wednesday, December 24, which are filled with familiar carols, special organ music, readings, a message from our Pastor, and ending with candlelight. The 5 p.m. Lessons and Carols service features many beloved carols and hymns sung by the congregation, with lessons read by various members of our church, with the carol texts complementing and illuminating the readings. The 5 p.m. service will be livestreamed on our YouTube Channel: FPCGF Church.

The Chancel Choir will sing anthems by James Laster (The Infant King) and Bryan Kirk (Lullaby Carol) at the 10 p.m. Candlelight Communion service, which will include several beloved hymns and carols for Christmas Eve, and end with the beauty of candlelight as we sing "Silent Night".

Bryan Kirk, Music Director and Organist, has prepared numerous special arrangements and reharms of the carols and hymns to be sung, including the traditional choral descants and reharms by Sir David Willcocks, all to highlight the texts, music and add a festive flair to the Christmas music.
