Mercy Mission II

Mercy Mission II Mercy Mission II is a nonprofit food pantry and clothing closet serving Glenpool and surrounding areas. In 2014, Mercy Mission II was born from those efforts.

Mercy Mission originally began in the early 1980’s with Pastor Bob Thomas of First Grace Church as he looked for ways to serve those less fortunate in Glenpool with food and other assistance. Today, MMII is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, with board members from 5 area churches, and other local residents with a heart to serve. Mercy Mission II remains true to the original dream, with the intent of expanding services to help those in the South County area.

Mercy Mission II is a food pantry that receives a portion of its food for free or at a discounted price from the Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma! As the cost of living increases, food banks and pantries remain integral sources of nutrition for millions of Americans nationwide.

We have received generous grants from East Central Electric Company and the Eastern OK Food Bank toward the expansion of our walk in freezer. *We still need another $15,000 in matching funds toward the project, or we will have to return the grant funds and suspend the expansion.*

We are seeing increased needs for all and could really use your help with food donations or food drives.
When schools close for the summer and children cannot access the free or reduced lunch program, household grocery costs jump by more than $300 a month per child, causing a steep rise in childhood food insecurity as over 60% of Oklahoma students lose access to free or reduced-price meals. This coupled with increased food costs due to inflation are causing increased numbers and new clients each week. If you or your business is interested in donating, or helping please contact us!
