Morning prayer by Debra Palms:

Father God we come this morning on behalf of our youth who are going back to school. We pray that they make good decisions in their choice of friends. We pray that they choose to take care of business in their classes.

We pray that they determine to be the students You have called them to be. We ask that You protect their minds and keep them from anything that will distract them from doing what's right.

We pray that You place them with the right teachers. We pray that You give them the courage to ask for help when they need it and to be helpful to others when they can be.

We pray that they will be kind. We pray that they will always remember who they are in You so they can represent You well! Protect them from the enemy in their thoughts and in their walk. Let them always see themselves as You see them, confident in knowing that they don't need to be anyone other than who you made them to be!

May this school year be all that You intend for them as they grow, as they learn, and as they submit themselves to the things of God! Please bless them, keep them, encourage them and nurture them. Please equip their parents with supernatural discernment so that they are constantly in tune with any changes in behavior and attitude that signal a cry for help!

We pray Your favor on the lives of Your students as they move into a new phase in their journey of purpose. Thank You Lord for Your daily grace and mercy! In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Father God, today we pray with hope for the future. We pray with hope for a return to You and Your values. We pray with hope that the church returns to a leadership position in the community. We pray with hope that people will offer grace and compassion to one another. We pray with hope that the work of the Kingdom takes priority over personal gain.

We pray with hope that compassion and understanding show up in the most difficult places of turmoil. We pray with hope that those who underestimate the power of prayer will become the recipients of one of Your miracles. We pray with hope for the future that begins today, reshaping the world that has started to remove itself from You in the deceptive name of progress.

Lord, send a revival and let it begin with us! In the Name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

Morning prayer by Debra Palms:

Father God, we pray this morning for families who struggle with judging instead of embracing; demanding instead of asking; giving in instead of insisting on accountability; saying I told you so instead of loving through the pain; talking when listening is needed; turning their backs instead of standing with; and crushing instead of encouraging.

Today let us pray specifically for our personal contributions to family strife. Let us each examine our speech, our thoughts and even our prayers for family members. Show us areas where we may have been condescending or self-righteous so that we can be forgiven and do better.

May each person reading this prayer determine to be a better family member. Help us to be more proactive in our families and less reactive. Today we honor You for the gift of family! May we do our part and leave the rest to You.

In the name of Jesus we pray, Amen.

May Your grace bring them courage to get up when they fall. May Your strength give them confidence to stand tall even in their weakest moments. May Your power bring them assurance in knowing when the battle isnt theirs to fight because it belongs to You. And may Your love keep them grounded in every situation and circumstance.
