Last night kids learned about the first two articles of their spiritual armor, the Belt of Truth. Truth is what God says about a certain thing...If it doesn't line up with the word of God it isn't Truth! The Belt of Truth holds everything else together. They also learned about the Breastplate of Righteousness. When you accepted Jesus God deposited a spiritual breastplate in you which was designed to protect the heart. When you fail to put on your Breastplate you allow worldly things to enter your heart and cause a stain (sin). God will not abide in a messy heart. Remember, the heart is very important...if the heart stops, everything else stops. Keep a righteous heart.

*In order to know that something is right, you need to know that it is true.

Vacation Bible School 2016 "The Armor of God"

Because we are in a battle it is important that we know what to wear. This battle isn't against flesh and bood. It isn't against other people. This battle lies in the spiritual world, so we need a spiritual wardrobe to fight this battle. In Ephesians 6:13-17 God gives us clear instructions about the specific articles of clothing we need to have packed and ready to put on if we are going to have victory in spiritual warfare.
