A church in the great town of Glendora, Ms where there is love, joy, peace, forgiveness we live by faith and not by sight living the way God would have his children to live in this sinful world. Church was built and established in 1944, Grayson Chapel was named by Deacon Charlie Grayson. The Church grew with new members, Deacons, Mothers, Choir Members and Ushers. Grayson served Grayson Chapel for
many years, after Rev. Grayson came a new leader Rev. Tyler, who also served for many years, Grayson Chapel still going, standing and going on, as other leaders, Rev. Tyler too served many years, than came Rev. Whitney, who was from Sunflower, Mississippi, then came a new leader Rev. Perry who served until about the year of 1979. At this point and time Grayson elected a new leader, Rev. Smith, under his leadership, came new members, ushers, deacons, and choir members, to name a few, the late Mr. Tom Pittman, the late Mr. Earnest Bates, the late Mr. Perry, the late Mr. Richard Calloway, Henry Reese, Robert Hatten, and Charles Hand were Deacons, to name some Mothers such as the late Mrs. Clara Pittman, the late Ms. Carlean Peirce, Mrs. Ethel Roberson, and the late Mrs. Sue Bridges. Smith served Grayson for approximately 26 years, until the year of 2004, Rev. Smith tender his resignation to Grayson Chapel. Grayson Chapel begin to search for a new Leader, doing this time on one Sunday morning a pastor was traveling on his way to Greenwood, Ms. When he noticed a bright light shining, he decided to follow this light, and this bright light was shining over Grayson Chapel Church, the pastor came in and joined the service, for that day, Grayson had found their new leader, his name was Rev. Aaron McBride. Our New leader stated to the church “If I can’t lead you the Bible way, than I want lead you at all.” Under Rev. McBride , Grayson Chapel established a praise team, A’ Praising Grace,A Praisng Grace Pee-Wee, & A Praing Grace Tiny Tots, a great musician, Ms. Emma Gunter, who has served Grayson for approximately 20 years, A great choir who consist of Mrs. Cora Hughes, Mrs. Addie Robinson, late Ms. Katral McMillian, Ms. Maggie Peterson, Ms. Dorothy Wise, Ms. Dorothy Hayes, Ms. Nikki Pierce, and Ms. Ola Steele Mr. Devonta Robinson, Mr. Galen McMillian, Mr. Cory Hand, Our beautiful mother board consist of Ms. Sandra Brown, Ms. Mary Hodges, Ms. Mary Bolden, Ms. Martha Green, MS. Annie Steele, Ms. Ethel Robinson, late Ms. Carlean Pierce, late Ms. Clara Pittman, and the late Mrs. Johnny Lue Bridges. The Deacon Board consist of Mr. Henry Reese, the late Louis Thomas, the late Elijah Bridges, Charles Hand and Mr. Robert Hatten, the usher board consist of Mr. Robinson, Mr. Bobby Joe Hill, Mr. Jimmy Bolton, Ms. Dora Grant, Ms Pearlie May Hodges, Ms. Katherine Bridges, and Grayson has a wonderful announcer, Sonya Hand. And last but not least the leader to this find Church our pastor Rev. Aarron McBride, who teaches the word of God. There are many goals for the future, that Grayson Chapel is working on and with the help in the Lord we will make it happen and to this day after many years, Grayson Chapel is still here this is why we celebrate today.
