Behind every milk-drunk smile
is a mom who gave pieces of her body,
her sleep,
and her sanity…
and still showed up.
That’s not ‘bare minimum’
that’s love in its rawest form.

Some days it feels like all you do is give.
You give your body,
your comfort,
your energy,
your nights,
your patience…
and it still never feels like enough.

But then your baby drifts off,
their lips sticky with milk,
and they smile in their sleep
that tiny, milk-drunk grin
that says you are their safe place,
their source of love,
their everything.

Mama, you’re not just feeding them.
You’re shaping their world
with every ounce of yourself you pour out.
And that kind of love?
It’s powerful.
It’s extraordinary.
It’s enough.
Always.

Unforgiveness is like drinking poison and expecting the other person to suffer. The antidote isn't for their sake—it's for yours.

Forgiveness doesn't minimize the hurt or excuse the wrong. It simply refuses to let someone else's actions continue to control our emotional well-being. It's choosing our own freedom over their failures.

How has choosing forgiveness brought freedom to your life?

Today, many of our children stand on the other side of what feels like an endless chasm of different beliefs, values, and decisions. If our convictions are rooted in the love of the Gospel and Christ's righteousness, we can stand firm in them. "Let all that you do be done in love." (1 Corinthians 16:14).

- Listen in order to understand.
- Don’t criticize things your child can’t change, such as learning ability, physical agility and appearance.
- Don’t use physical violence, yelling, or coercion.
- Stick to one issue at a time.
- Believe the best until guilt is proven.
- Concede when you’re wrong.
- Ask forgiveness when necessary (even when your disrespect was instigated by his or hers).

Remember that you cannot control your child, but you can be firm in your convictions when they are expressed with love.

Today we remember a hero of the faith. Our Founder, Dr. James C. Dobson, passed away this morning. Although we're sorrowful over this loss, we are thankful for his legacy of family ministry that will live on for future generations, and rejoice that he is now in the presence of our Savior.
